Chapter 46 - Chapter 44

*** End of the week.

"Miss Young and Miss Rivers. Leader Lopez has called you to his office, please follow after me." A house butler intercepted us, while we were walking in the hallways to the library -where I was going to show Rhonda the rows of ancient texts that referred to the ancient bloodline.

"Right now?" I asked, and he nodded. I glanced down at my outfit, slightly ripped jeans, a cute purple sweater, and a pair of slippers since it was a major no-no for anybody to wear shoes in this house. "Lead the way." I indicated, hoping that Mr. Lopez won't mind that I'm not in formal wear, or at least I wasn't. Rhonda was currently a cute button-up blouse and business slacks.

Following the man to the old man's office, I took deep breaths, knowing exactly what we were called for. Minutes later after walking, we stopped at the double doors leading to his office, and I noticed that Rhonda was slightly nervous, probably because the times that she walks into this room, it's usually during serious meetings.

'Hurry up and get the information, and then take your leave.' I thought, pushing open the doors, stepping into the rustic office, unlike some other offices, this one was bright. The curtains were drawn back, and lamps all over the room were on, it completely different from my father's dark luxurious office.

"Miss Young, and Miss Rivers. Please take a seat." Logan greeted us with a small smile while indicating to the small square table that fit only four people, perfect for all of us. Once the old man was seated, sitting across from me, Logan to my left and Rhonda at my right, He rested his hands in his lap before indicating to Logan that he should put the folder in his hands on the table.

"We've finished our research, and we've come to a couple of conclusions." Logan started, setting down the folder, sliding it to the middle of the table. "First, we've confirmed that you do indeed come from the Ernchester line, Jacob King is a descendant of the Raymond line, and the other two that have descendants are the Cortez line and Sullivan line." He pulled out a couple of documents that showed proof, almost like a family tree for each of the lines, except they didn't have names on the document.

I nodded, taking the document from the boy's hands, scanning over the information. "What is there to be said about the Cortez and Sullivan line?" I asked, noticing how the Sullivan line had a long list of descendants while the Cortez line was lucky to even have a couple of descendants.

"While both of them have current descendants, the Cortez line has been a bit quiet, either because they are choosing to hide their descendants or just a potential problem. The Sullivan line is living just fine, however, I could barely pull any information about them." Logan answered and I nodded, scanning through the pages.

"That's all?" I asked, glancing at Rhonda who was also interested in the folder, since it had multiple documents, each had a different reason for being in the folder.

"That's all the information that we could find in the given time. We've been thorough with all of the documents relating to the ancient wolf bloodlines because we want to assist you to the fullest. So I hope that this folder with be helpful in multiple ways since each person had a specific job to comply information." The old man leaned forward and I met his eyes, before studying the rest of the documents.

The first portion of the folder was about the ancient bloodlines including the family trace charts, and some history of how they were made. The majority of the remaining documents were more information about the Female lycan and the history of why she is powerful. And for the last couple pages of the folder, there was a detailed explanation of the prophecy, for both outcomes.

"This is?" I asked, pointing to about fifty pages of information about the Female Lycan, and the old man chuckled lightly before reaching to pat my hand.

"They're copies of some important documents that I've saved throughout my years of life because I had a feeling I would meet a female lycan. These documents, I put together, in hopes that it will help you unlock some of your powers, and to know why you're an important person in this world. And finally, some documents speak about the relation between the female lycan and the prophecy.

"What I suggest you do when you return to Birmingham or London, is to find a secret place for these, because if they land in the wrong hands, specifically humans, then your life will be in danger." He squeezed my hand, and I looked back down at the documents.

"I understand." I patted the back of his hand reassuringly and he managed a small smile, before sliding over a couple of documents, revealing some information about the Moon Goddess, Selena.

"I also provided some information about Selena, and the foundations of how the wolves were born, but also how she rules over them. Lastly, there are a couple of pages that talk about how those that go up to her world, where they also rule over this world, and how that effect this world." He tapped the pages once he found them, and I took in a deep breath.

"Because her world is what I'm entering when my time comes," I muttered remembering how the prophecy mentioned a throne. Both Rhonda and Mr. Lopez nodded their heads, knowing that was the fate of me.

"I do hope that we meet again before my time is up." He muttered quietly to himself, before rising from his seat walking over to my side. Knitting my brows together, he took my hand, and looked straight into my eyes, while lowering himself to the ground on his knees.

"What are you doing?!" I panicked, and all three of us watched him with wide eyes, and just as Logan was going to help the old man off the ground he shook his head, pressing the back of my hand to his forehead. 'He's about to do something, pleading his assistance to me.' I noted, keeping my calm as I saw this in some books.

"I, Erik Lopez, the current leader of the Romeo Clan, swear to be at your command while you are still on this world. This statement is to be upheld by each successor of the Clan, and if it is broken, You, the pureblood female lycan, have every right to destroy the clan." He lifted his eyes to mine, and my breath hitched at he said the Clan's fate was all determined on the leaders and me.

Glancing at Logan whose eyes were wide, I took in a deep breath.

Now that he has pledged to be on my side, I helped him back up to his feet, keeping my blueish-green eyes on his brown eyes, and finished the pledge.

"I, Mackenzie Young, the female lycan, hope that the Romeo Clan will uphold their pledge." I glanced at Logan who tipped his head, having no choice but to agree and follow the pledge.

"You're welcome to return if you're in the area, and if Jacob King is traveling with you, he's also welcomed." The old man chuckled and I managed a small smile before indicating to Rhonda to put all the documents back in the folder.

"As long as he's not held hostage, I'm sure we'll come by. Let us know when the power changes." I gently shook his hand, before tipping my head, thankful that he could provide me information. That folder was a key to having a calm life, all I need to do is read it all at Jacob's since it's the only secure place.

George was brought to the front of the place, standing beside a provided SUV, another gift from Mr. Lopez. "Have you booked a hotel while you were in the dungeons?" I asked, opening the backdoor, letting Rhonda sit in the passenger seat since she gets carsick easily.

"Of course, I want to leave this place badly. Thankfully they let me shower before I was released." He muttered and I nodded glancing back at the estate, pleased with the outcome of this trip.

Not only did I get a whole bunch of information related to my cause, but I got another ally that is there to help me in the supernatural and business world. "I'm sorry that you had to stay down there, but at least you were treated well." I returned and he grunted.

"That didn't mean I didn't feel uneasy, I was waiting for something to happen while I was down, I mean who is placed in the cells to just play on their video games all day?" He retorted and I nodded.

"Rhonda, what do you think about Logan?" I asked, and she let out an irritated sigh, tilting her head to the side.

"He's definitely not human." She answered and I agreed. There was something off about Logan, and those green eyes made me curious about who he was. He also didn't like the fact that he was also swearing to serve me if needed.

"Do you think he's a wizard?" I asked, and she shrugged.

"He probably only has it in his blood, but can't use it." She replied and I nodded. The car was silent for the remaining of the ride, and when we pulled up to a fancy hotel, George walked in, to pick up our room keys, returning with a small grin.

"I book two suites, one for me, and the other for you two, we'll meet up in about an hour to discuss what we're going to do next, or do we want to save that for tomorrow?" He asked, and I looked at Rhonda who shrugged her shoulders.

"Let's discuss things tomorrow," I ordered and he looked happy, pulling out our suitcases, helping us to our room, before disappearing from our sights.
