Chapter XI: Learning and Trials
After Emma disappeared, I went straight to Justin and told him about Emma being taken I left out the part about A because I thought that he was hiding something from me, he promised to find her. The same day that I told him about Emma being kidnapped, Justin brought me the organizations code book, I learned that the code 24-2C was just a part of a base code about making contracts there were three parts to the code 24-2A, 24-2B, and of course 24-2C. 24-2A says that a contract can be made by anyone and can be made and can consist with as many people that want to make a contract. 24-2B says that if the contract is broken all who did not break the contract have the right to deal with those who have broken the contract with how they see fit. 24-2C which Justin said he had to follow was that if a contract is made by the organization all employees have to follow the contract even if they were not the one who signed the contract and if an employee breaks the contract they will be dealt with however the organization sees fit.
While Justin was off searching for Emma, an old man who has never actually given me his name came to me and said "If you wish to find the girl you love and defeat those who have taken her, listen to what I tell you and never deviate from what I say. Do you understand this?" "I do but…" "There shall be no buts boy only when you are strong. So do you wish to get stronger?" "Yes I do." "So let us begin." As soon as he said that clouds started forming around me and they started to spin around me into a thick wall and then underneath my feet, the clouds began to dissipate and we were around 10 miles above the town then he spoke "At this very moment my Magyk is what's keeping you from fall to you death. Do you get this?" "Yes sir." "Don't ever say that to me again just call me J it's short for Joker everyone calls me this you will understand soon enough, and you will be like me and since there are two Jokers in a deck of cards it fits, So let's start your training." "So J what do you want me to do chant a spell and do a little dance?" "Chanting a spell does work but it is very inefficient and yes most people do chant a spell. I am going to teach you a faster way where no one will not even know your even doing a spell." "Ok smart guy what am I going to do."
"Well let's start with flying now all you have to do is imagine the air condensing underneath you holding you up." Right after he finished he let me fall I did what he said and imagined the air holding me up I fell half way to the ground before actually doing it then I moved back up to J "Oh I see you are stronger than you seem, usually someone would have died but I see you have potential now I want you to create fire in the palm of your hand, I will let you do this with no help from me." I stood there well I flew there for about 5 minutes before I figured out how to make the fire it was this flame about as big as an apple but then it became smaller and smaller till you couldn't see it with a naked eye but I could still see the heat radiating off of it as if it was the same size. "This is the first time I have seen someone do that their first time doing Magyk." J said, "Well I have been blessed by mother earth and I think she has a crush on me." I responded "Well earth does not have a gender." "Well she loves to take the form of a girl so I will stick with earth is a female." "I don't believe that the great goddess would ever show her face to you." "Since she doesn't have an actual body she goes into whatever form is relevant." "Hmmm Allen you surprise me, don't tell anyone about what you know or you will be hunted down and killed." "Well that's a strange turn of events, so what's next."
"Allen you know about the 5 main elements?" "Not really, no." "Well yes there are all of these different elements that you can find but those were all made from different experiments done by those who practice Magyk but the main elements are fire, water, earth, air, and energy, now I want you to create these elements." "Ok." Then I formed each of the elements one after the other in front of J energy was a little difficult but I presented it as light, they were all balls but he explained that it was easier to have each element in its own shape so I gave a little personalization to each one except energy that stayed a ball. "J why have each element like this why not just have it where the elements just fire from my fingers?" "Because those who have tried have died and it is harder to control them that way." Even after he said that I just formed each element at the tips of my fingers of my right hand but when I got all 5 elements formed they started going together and formed this dark ball that exploded and knocked me out.
I woke up sometime later in my bed, I looked perfectly fine on the outside but I felt like crap. I sat there for a few seconds then A showed up again and she showed up laying on my lap, "Hey darling, I know I only showed up a couple weeks ago but I just wanted to see how you are doing after that little accident, I know I said you can do anything but you're not ready for it yet." "Oh hi A, I'm doing great and you never said I couldn't do everything at this moment." "Stop being stingy, I gave you the power but your body can't handle it. Hmmm do you have a problem with my looks, why not I look like those girls from your shows you love to watch." She sat up and transformed her body to where she had cat ears and a cat tail and really big breast "I don't have a problem with your body but that look totally changes things a lot but the things you do." "Hmmm I got an idea." Then she transformed herself into Emma "Does this work?" she asked in Emma's voice and started trying to make out with me but I pushed her back "A you may look like Emma right now but I know exactly who you are." She changed back to the original form and said "Well the real reason I came here was to give you some information on things I believe you should know even though they are just spells they will be useful to you later on." "Ok tell me." When I said that she leaned in and kissed me and my head filled with different Magyk combinations and how they work and what they do, "I never thought I could kiss a human but you will now be able to do what needs to be done when the time comes. Oh and here's a letter that J left you, it's been a fun conversation and sadly I will not be able to talk to you for a while now I will let you get to it good day Allen." She just turned to dust and flew out of my window which was closed and there was no wind so that made no sense.
I remembered the letter J left for me and I read it "Hello good Allen you are doing well I see usually someone died when they did what you did or it took them months to recover but you only a week I am surprised well I think you need some more training and don't do something that dangerous again. –J" after I finished the letter disintegrated and then J just showed up and said "Well, well, well you finally wake up I was able to watch the entire season of Fureka just imagine if it was real." "Oh hi to you to J how are you doing, how are the kids is Billy still getting in trouble?" "Well I feel great for 100 and I don't have a kid named Billy but my kids are doing great for their positions right now and you are." I decided to keep the who A thing to myself "Well I just feel really sore but other than that I feel perfectly fine." "Well now that you seem to be at fullish strength I want to show you something else." "Isn't my mom worried about me being knocked out for so long?" "No because she went on a trip and since she gets home late at night she just thought you were sleeping." "What kind of trip?" "I am not sure she left a note but I read it and all it said was that she was going on a trip for a while." "Well let's get started."
We trained for a few months working on different spells that A left in my head like a kind of shield and different combinations that I wouldn't have thought of and a lot more. I figured out how to use the Dark Magyk by creating a sphere of energy and for the Dark Magyk in there and the energy sphere would keep the Dark Magyk withheld inside and I could basically throw the sphere and dissipate it and the Dark Magyk would explode. I learned shadow walking which was a form of Dark Magyk which makes all of the elements separate from each other and allow you to instantly go a short distance away unless you know exactly where you are going exactly and the distance that you need to go cause if you mess up you could end on the other side of the world. On the few days that I did not practice Magyk I learned proper fighting styles hand to hand combat and such.
After months of training and lots of bruises J said that he taught me everything he was willing to teach someone, he told me to rest for a week but in that week I practiced some spells that A left in my head like telepathy, invisibility and something she calls Yin/Yang clash which is where I create a perfect Dark Magyk sphere and merge it with pure energy and it basically is a nuke without the radiation.
After the week was over J came to my house while I was meditating and he told me that he a three trial's that I needed to do before I could save Emma. These trials were harder than I thought so let me begin.
The first trial started by the world changed into an ancient castle and then a man appeared holding a staff with a black crystal. Then I saw the crystal starting to glow, so I started flying formed my shield and made rock and ice spheres to catch any attack then I started firing high concentrated beams of electricity otherwise known as lightning all before he finished his spell then I noticed it didn't work a giant rock came from him and it hit me head on and crashed through my ice rock but my shield was able to withstand it. We went back and forth a bit and I noticed that he could only do spells that had to do with earth so I attacked with lighting and water which got past his rock defenses and killed him but he didn't really die after the lightning went through him he disappeared like he was just a projected image.
After I defeated rock man the world changed to a colosseum appeared around me then a man riding a Pegasus came charging out of a gate opposite of me I saw lightning crackling around him leaving a fiery trial cracking the ground and ice forming in the air. So to get some distance between me and him I tried flying but lightning shot from him and I fell to the ground and as I hit the ground I formed my shield and started shooting water at him and then tried to skewer the Pegasus with spikes but it started flying before I could. Then I formed a hundred ice arrows imbued with electricity I made it look like I firing aimlessly but I aimed a few arrows at its wings and I hit it and it fell and broke its neck with the rider underneath. The rider didn't die so he got out from under and tried to attack me but I started flying with the shield and he missed with every shot so I started aiming the four elements and hitting him with each one and he finally was finished.
The third challenge appeared and it was my backyard and an exact copy of me appeared in front of me and he formed a shield and instead of me usually ice rock he formed a flaming rock with electricity but made each one real small in a wall formation all around him I shot water at him but the wall only had a little indent in it then the other me shot a lightning bolt at me I was able to absorb all the electricity into my shield but I still felt my arm hairs tingle as it passed through it. So I made myself a little wall like the other me but instead of water I used rock, now let me explain why you see everything but pure energy cannot pass through rock unless it's an extreme amount of heat which by the way is a lot. So I then flew as fast as I could towards the other me and went straight past his wall but when I tried to stab him with an ice knife I had made it just bounced right off then I remembered that I had been working on a form of shield that only goes around my body but it was incomplete so I went for the mouth because I couldn't get the mouth area to form properly so I didn't use it till then and surprisingly I was able to stab him right in the mouth and the backyard went back to normal and J reappeared.
"Good job Allen I am proud, J said as the world went back to normal "Yes I know the opponents were strong but there are those who are stronger remember that so keep training, now Justin will be here soon with news do not go till I say so. If you go now you may ruin all chance of rescuing Emma. Now besides that I have a gift for you." He pulled a staff that glowed this dark glow it wasn't black but it made the air and anything touching it a darker shade of whatever color it is, you know now that I think about it what would happen to anything that was black well that's something to think about now back to what I was saying. The staff also had these multicolored gems "Allen this will help focus your power while storing any excess energy into it it's a neat little thing and it looks pretty, and now I must take my leave, see you soon." And J just disappeared and soon after Justin came and said "I found Emma I wasn't able to talk to her because there is a guard at the door 24/7 but I was able to see her we should go now, before it's too late." I stood there for a few seconds thinking about it I wanted to get Emma back right then and there but J said that I needed to wait till he told me to go but I can get Emma back right then but I trusted and still trust J more than Justin so I told him that we had to wait and for some reason he stayed at my house till we left I guessed he was ordered to watch me to make sure I didn't go alone.
A few days later Justin went to the restroom and I got pulled to the other world and J was standing there waiting "Hello Allen I have come to tell you that you can go save Emma now good luck." "One sec, why didn't you show up when Justin was in here?" "Because me and The Organization are not on the best of terms, now I have pizza to get to good day." As I was exiting the other world Justin came bursting out of the bathroom with crystal swords "What's going on?" "Just we get to go save Emma."
"This is Seraphina's Mansion?" I said as we landed in front of an ancient looking house in New York "Allen don't judge looks by what's inside and her mansion is in the other side" after Justin finished talking we entered the other side and there was a gigantic mansion in front of us "Now that is what I was expecting." I walked up the front steps and blew open the door and inside the main hall I saw a couple thousand people lined up and a few of them had nice formal clothes and as I looked I saw Emma standing there and I said "Lets have some fun." And I froze everyone I could.
I stood there and saw three other people not frozen and two of them a woman with a sword and a fuck ugly dude who needed major plastic surgery first the woman went straight at me but she was to slow and I knocked her down and then then worse Freddy Kruger started using spells and they were only fire kind of spells so I guessed that he couldn't make a shield and I made a rock hammer and hit him really hard and don't worry I did not kill him I don't kill anyone and after I knocked Freddy out the angry she hulk charged at me but I just knocked her out too.
I went over to the third person a woman and said "I am guessing." "Why yes I am." She said in a scared tone "So tell me why did you take Emma." Very shakily Seraphina said "Richard paid me a lot of money and even if I didn't take it I would still have to if you've me him you would know." "You see I have met him and he ran away, he paid you to kidnap Emma because he couldn't get to me you see if you're afraid of him then your definitely afraid of me and you better stay away if you know what's good for you because I will take everything from you and make you pay. Understand. Great now I'm done." I unfroze the world and walked over to Emma. "Hello Allen, I see your doing good." "Yeah I've gotten way stronger, so now I can protect you." I said that and then I saw Jen Walk in.
