Chapter 31 - Chapter 30: Dark’s Thought

Dark is walking in a dark alley leading through the Southern Whirlpool Pier that he will be going to right now.

Even if there's no lights, he didn't mind the darkness. He just continued walking. Not far from where he is, he can already see a crowd of men who are holding their own preferred weapon. Some even deliberately hung their guns into their sides.

Dark didn't stop walking.

Why would he stop? They are the reason why he is there in the first place.

Their his targets for that night.

Dark is here to stop a drug transaction that is about to happen in this pier tonight. According to the intel that they received, it's between three groups.

Now, he's here to stop them.

He was alone because he didn't want the others to interfere.

As he was about to reach them, he slid his hand behind his back beneath the black shirt he was wearing. Then he pulled out the two guns he had hidden there and aimed them at the group.

He was about to fire when someone saw him.

Dark smiled evilly toward that person.

Intentionally making him see clearly his own dark smile.

The man called his companions attention. Before they can move, Dark starts to shoot them one by one.

He fires his bullets, he bends, jumps and spins just to dodge the bullets that we're flying towards him.

While these are all happening. In between dodging those piercing bullets. He laughs silently.

He wanted this.

He needed this.

Just to forget that—--- little thing.

Dark ran toward the man who was aiming his gun at him. When he reached him, he let go of the gun in his left hand, knowing it was already out of bullets. He used that hand to wrap around and grip the man's neck while pressing his other gun to the man's temple.

He was about to fire when he heard a click.

'Shit, it's also out of bullets!!!'

No choice!!

Dark sensed that the other man's companions were about to shoot him, so he released both the man and the gun and punched him in the face with his right hand. The man staggered back as Dark tumbled away to dodge the bullets. While he was in the air, he hurled a dagger he had hidden in his shoe at the three men who fired at him.

When he landed, four bodies fell—three dead, one fainted. Daggers were embedded in these three's foreheads, their eyes were still open as blood ran down their faces. The fourth man collapsed to the ground, unconscious from the blow he had taken.

Dark suddenly bent backward and twisted midair, swinging his right arm into the man who rushed toward him with a raised fist.

Despite the situation, he didn't feel thrilled. Instead, he felt bored.

He sighed in disappointment.

To finish the situation as soon as possible, he walked toward the remaining people who were trying to flee the site. He picked up two pistols from the ground beside one of their dead companions and used them to shoot the rest.

His body and face were now smeared with bloodstains, but he didn't care.

When he was certain that no one had been spared, he walked back to his group, who had been watching from the very beginning.

They had wanted to help him, but he had ordered them not to.

He knew.

He needed something to do to forget.

For a moment, he stopped—thinking of only one name.

Rami.

He admits.

His thinking about Rami. All the time, especially if he is not busy.

Remembering what happened between them, he— wanted to let loose. To vent his anger.

He knew Rami had done something wrong to him that night.

When he tasted something strange in the drink, he didn't mind—it was Rami who had made it, after all. He thought Rami would never do him harm.

He can't explain it but he feels like he is somewhat safe with Rami. Though he just ignored those feelings.

But when the intense heat spread through his body, he knew something was wrong.

Even in the middle of the overwhelming lust brought on by the aphrodisiac, he managed to hold himself back. After all, he was a renowned assassin.

Urges, temptation—those things were not supposed to control him. He was already immune to them. Not only that, it was rare for anyone to catch his attention. He had seen countless beautiful women and men, yet not once had he been interested in any of them.

Only that night—he hadn't stopped himself. He hadn't restrained his surging urges. He finally let his guard down when reality told him that Rami was the cause of the abnormal state he was in.

He didn't hold back. Instead, he indulged in it. Because no matter how much he denied it, he wanted it.

Only once in his life, he wanted to possess someone. So when an opportunity comes, he grabs it.

But before he could clear his head and state his position that night after all that's done, Rami disappeared.

What the hell?

Even at school, he didn't show up even once.

He felt used the next day when he learned that Rami was gone and the truth became clear.

Truth that it really had been Rami's intention to bed him.

He wasn't angry because of Rami's lies or his malicious plan.

He was angry because Rami hadn't been sincere about what had happened between them. He had believed Rami's feelings were real. He wasn't blind—through Rami's actions and small gestures, he had noticed his affection directed towards him.

He truly thought Rami felt something for him.

But this was what he had learned.

Shit!!

"Where the hell are you, Rami? When I see you again, I'll make sure to punish you. Whatever your reason is, let's see if you will disappear without me knowing so easily next time."
