"Are you a pervert?"
Damon turns to see that it's his secretary, who doesn't even look at his direct superior's face. The Beta keeps walking after he accuses Damon, using all his strength to pull the larger Alpha away.
"Watch your words, Adam." Damon grits his teeth. "How am I a pervert?"
He is so shocked by Adam's blatant disrespect that he allows himself to be dragged away.
After he comes back to his senses, Damon pulls his arm out of the Beta's hold. By now, they have walked several meters away from where he was standing earlier.
Adam looks at their surroundings. After confirming that they are hidden by the trees, he turns to Damon and says, "No, I — It was — You — President!"
Damon says nothing, watching as Adam tries to form a coherent sentence.
Adam takes a deep breath and tries again. "Why are you ogling Mr. Kaiden like that? He's a pregnant Omega!"
"I'm not ogling," Damon lies, ignoring the pinprick in his conscience.
