Adam sits upright on the examination bed while a doctor examines his neck and nape. The room he has been taken to is a typical doctor's office, with its bright lights, clean floors, and infographics all over. He lets the doctor move him as she wants, while answering her questions with simple answers.
"Thankfully, it isn't serious," the doctor, a mature Beta woman in her late 40s, says after she finishes. "Just a little bruising. I guess that feral Alpha went easy on you."
Perhaps it's the adrenaline still in his body, but Adam doesn't feel any pain at all. He's breathing fine and there are no aches whatsoever. He tells the doctor this while the doctor is taking something from a table nearby.
"It doesn't hurt now, but it will if we don't do something about it," she replies after she comes back. In her hand is a glass spray bottle about the size of her hand.
