Ning Huaiyu left feeling somewhat dejected, while Duan Xingzhi couldn't quite feel triumphant. Ultimately, Ning Huaiyu wasn't a gentleman. Even with Ning's here keeping him under control, he couldn't guarantee that Ning Huaiyu wouldn't do something outrageous.
Upon returning to the car, perhaps due to the door opening loudly, Bai Zhi woke up.
She reached up to fix her hair and asked somewhat groggily, "Have we arrived?"
"Mhm, still tired?" He reached out to help her tidy her hair.
"Much better." Bai Zhi patted her face to perk herself up and then said, "I'll head to work now. Take care heading back."
"Mhm, I'll come pick you up tonight."
Bai Zhi stood outside the car, bent over looking at him sitting inside, "You don't need to come over tonight. I can go back by myself. I'm not going to your place today."
Duan Xingzhi curled his lips into a smile, "Then I'll come to your place."
"There's no room at my place. You should go back to your own place. I'm off."
