Duan Xingzhi called home; Mrs. Duan was worried upon hearing Bai Zhi was ill and suggested she go to the hospital. However, Duan Xingzhi stopped her and instead requested some stomach-soothing porridge and dishes from the kitchen be sent over.
Unexpectedly, not only was the porridge sent over, but Mr. and Mrs. Duan brought it personally.
"Dad, Mom, why are you here?"
"Xiao Zhi is sick, we're worried, so we came to check on her," the Duan elders changed their shoes upon entering, then asked, "Where's Xiao Zhi?"
"She's in the room, sleeping, I'll wake her up."
"No need to wake her, let her sleep. The porridge is in a thermal container anyway, she can eat it when she wakes up."
Duan Xingzhi poured two cups of tea, "Have a seat, I'll go check on her."
