The man brought Qian over and spoke to the old man.
"Dad, this is—"
"I'm the fortune-teller from the city." Qian made a hush gesture to the man.
The man explained that his father is superstitious, and for an elderly person like him, a psychologist is a never-heard-of occupation that would take effort to explain. It's easier to say she's a powerful city diviner, as this identity would be more believable to the old man.
"Yes, Dad, she's the powerful diviner from the city, very amazing." The man played along with Qian.
The old man opened his eyes to look at Qian, his murky eyes full of suspicion.
Qian pulled up a chair and sat by the old man's bed, speaking to him.
"I was passing by the hospital today and noticed something strange in the sky, so I came to take a look and happened to meet your son..."
