It was already evening. Tessa Caldwell glanced at the time; it was almost nine o'clock. She stood up and said, "You head back first. You hold steady for now, let me go home and ask my all-knowing husband, see what he thinks and suggests."
Nora Harrow panicked a bit and quickly said, "No, no, don't tell Faye. If he finds out, Xavier Warren will know too."
Tessa sighed, "Actually, it's not a bad thing if Xavier Warren knows."
Nora said gloomily, "If because of me, Xavier Warren can't achieve his long-standing wish, then how can I face him and continue our life together?"
Tessa sighed inwardly.
Indeed, if it were her, and because of herself, Faye couldn't realize his long-held dream.
Even if he doesn't blame her, she'd feel like a burden and would be too ashamed to face him.
Still, Tessa decided to subtly hint at it when she got home, to see if Faye could offer any advice.
