Zion Caldwell stepped on Dad Caldwell, "With you here, anything is possible. No matter how powerful Faye is, it's impossible for him to find out that I hid you in my house."
He stepped directly on Dad Caldwell, walked over his body, and left.
Dad Caldwell lay on the ground, gasping for breath, looking at the food previously sent to the secret room. He slowly crawled over to it. It had started to spoil, but he still picked it up with his hands and ate it, bite by bite.
He absolutely couldn't let Tessa be threatened by Zion because of him.
He had to replenish his strength and find a way to escape.

Tessa returned home as fast as she could. She rushed straight into Faye's study, not beating around the bush, and her first words were, "Faye, let's get divorced now."
Faye sat in a large swivel chair, elegant and poised.
He stared at Tessa, his eyes shifting like turbulent clouds, but he merely said mildly, "Tessa, do you know what you're saying?"
