When it came to the class reunion, at first Tessa didn't pay much attention. She just casually mentioned it that day and didn't really plan on going.
But after what happened with Simone Coleman, she felt she had to go, and had to bring Faye along, or else they'd both be slammed with criticism.
But it was clear Faye didn't want to go, because she subtly asked: "Have you attended a class reunion before?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Waste of time."
After that, Tessa automatically stopped talking, because she felt it was pointless; Faye definitely wouldn't want to go to the class reunion with her.
And she felt Faye wasn't wrong—the whole class reunion thing really was a waste of time.
But without taking Faye, she'd be going alone, and that would probably get her even more looked down upon.
Not going wasn't an option, and going wasn't either.
