The thing about Athania Relica is—she doesn't give up easily. Not even when her plans crumble right in front of her.
Ever since the last challenge ended, I could feel her gaze drilling holes in the back of my head. If looks could kill, I'd probably be buried under the villa by now. But unfortunately for her, I'm still breathing. And I plan to keep it that way.
Her first attempt was subtle. She "accidentally" dropped a water bottle right in my path as we walked toward the next segment location. It rolled across the floor, slow and deliberate, like it was begging me to step on it and faceplant in front of the cameras. Too bad I wasn't born yesterday. I lifted my foot slightly, letting the bottle pass harmlessly beneath me as if I hadn't noticed it at all. From the corner of my eye, I could almost hear her teeth grinding.
But that was only the beginning.
