Without warning, a loud sound rang from behind, and glancing backwards, the guards all let out their white auras.
I saw the circle on the center of the arc glow from white, to blue, green, red, and then cracks started to form --- before it broke into pieces.
The guards saw the fragments that fell before they further split into more miniscule pieces.
"N-no... no way!"
"Monster!"
"Everyone, run!"
A few of the people in line started to run back upwards the sloped road, and the others who had no idea only fled either because of panic or listened to what the others had said.
Still, the guards on the ground remained vigilant and raised their own weapons.
They each had their own swords, and the others had spears. One of them had a large shield, and he was in front of us.
"Who are you!?"
The guy at the front asked us and was already gathering white light on his shield, and probably also into his hidden weapon behind it.
"What do we do?"
"Hand over our IDs?"
