As the sun dipped below the horizon, Alfraed's carriage found itself encircled by a multitude of beasts. Cedric, Elias, and the driver were filled with fear, lacking any guards to protect them. Alfraed, however, stayed composed, perceiving no real danger.
"Snow, Blaze," Alfraed addressed the small magic beasts perched on his shoulders, "Would you mind handling this?" He gave them a wink, suggesting it was a chance for them to demonstrate their power to everyone else.
Snow and Blaze perked up, their eyes gleaming with mischief and anticipation. They exchanged a glance before leaping from Alfraed's shoulders.
"Wait, what are they—" Cedric's question died in his throat as the tiny creatures transformed mid-air.
