Beiming Han looked somewhat helpless as he saw the silver needles inserted into her body, asking, "How do you feel? Does it hurt?"
Gu Qingxin shook her head, "No more pain. What's wrong with you? Why do you look so pale?"
"You frightened me." Beiming Han placed her hand on his face, he couldn't let her know about his injury. That would only add to her burden.
"I'm fine, aren't I? I had no idea you were such a coward." Gu Qingxin forced a smile.
"Don't ever do that again... I don't want you to save me." Beiming Han held her hand tightly, pressing his lips to them.
"What about you? Would you save me if I were in danger?" Gu Qingxin asked him.
"Yes." Beiming Han answered decisively.
"And if I asked you not to save me, would you not?"
"No."
"Then I feel the same way." Gu Qingxin stared at him, continuing, "You have already become the most important person in my life. When danger approaches, I cannot think rationally. Everything is just instinct."
