Huangfu Ye pressed himself against the underside of the staircase, while Reno hid behind the wall at the corner. Huangfu Ye looked upwards, suddenly grabbing the railing of the staircase above, and launched himself upward.
Reno once again drew his pistol, but Huangfu Ye knocked it away instantly. His own gun was trained on Reno's forehead.
Reno immediately surrendered; Huangfu Ye was about to pull the trigger. Reno closed his eyes, expecting death, but Huangfu Ye swiveled his hand, whipping Reno across the neck with the butt of the gun and kicked him down the stairs with a spin of his body.
Reno was Beiming Wuji's personal bodyguard. With him out of the way, there should be no one left by Beiming Wuji's side.
Huangfu Ye kicked open Beiming Wuji's door to find the room was empty. Holding his gun, he cautiously stepped inside, alertly taking in every detail of the room.
