Chapter 19 - The Calm Before The Storm

The days passed and Kaiser was eating dinner while watching students from Durmstrang and Beauxbaton throw their names into the Goblet.

Kaiser already knew that he would be participating in the Triwizard Tournament thanks to Thor throwing his name into the Goblet of Fire.

Dumbledore also called him to his office to talk about it as Thor and Loki would be attending the Triwizard Tournament with Loki being a judge in it.

He asked what to do since Kaiser seemed to have more experience around the two Gods and Kaiser only suggested having enough food and beverages to satisfy Thor while Loki was just like any ordinary man with a weakness for sweets.

Kai saw the Phoenix in Dumbledore's office as it looked back at him when Huninn and Muninn appeared out of nowhere landing on Kaiser's shoulders while crowing at the Phoenix.

The Phoenix wasn't pleased but it also couldn't repudiate against them since it could feel a far bigger presence from them that it has itself which meant it couldn't deal with neither of them.

"It seems your pets are also related to the Nordic Gods," says Dumbledore seeing his Phoenix Fawkes not retaliate against the crows.

"Well, they could be called Gods themselves since Huninn and Muninn belonged to Odin himself while Fenrir and Jörmungandr are the children of Loki. Fenrir was the first I received and this pair was the last," says Kaiser as the crows glared at Fawkes putting him in his place while Dumbledore was holding his head now stressed to know that the pets Kaiser owns are in reality Mythical Beings.

"If that is the case it would explain what Hagrid told me on the first day of school. I thought at first that he had drunken too much and hallucinated a fight between the Squid and a Snake in the Great Lake," says Dumbledore before looking at the crows feeling the presences of someone strong in their eyes.

"Anyway, I will deal with the problem that will soon arise since the other Headmasters won't be pleased with another student participating in the Tournament," says Dumbledore when Kaiser only turned his head to the side while looking at him confused.

"I will be representing Asgard, not Hogwarts. They won't have anything to blame you for since Thor himself named me their champion. But if that was really a problem I could enter as a representative of the Witcher School I attended before transferring to Hogwarts," says Kaiser as the crows seemed to agree with him.

"We will deal with that once the day comes. But for now I stole enough of your time. I heard that you are attending all of your class and that you are regard a genius in Charms and Defense against the Dark Arts," says Dumbledore wanting to know how Kaiser is dealing with everything in school.

"It is quite boring compared to my previous training but I get enough individual time to hone my body in the Room of Requirement. It is quite a nice room which changes to my needs and this school doesn't have a Gym but thank to it I can train without any onlookers," says Kaiser as he found the room thanks to Morrigan telling him after she saw girls spying on him while training outside.

It was a great place but he would need to get more equipment once he returned home in the winter break if there is a winter break with the Tournament going on.

"Right, the Room of Requirements, it has been long since I was there. It was an old friend that showed it to me when I was just a kid," says Dumbledore reminiscing the old days of his school days.

"Anyway, I should leave, we don't want to make Professor McGonagall angry by coming late," says Kai before leaving the room while Dumbledore gave him an understanding grin.

Kaiser went to the classroom for Apparation Class finding everyone talking with each other as they were sharing the class with Durmstrang and Beauxbaton students so they wouldn't fall behind by a year just because of the tournament.

Kaiser sat down on a free chair and began to read a Book with an Eye on it when Hermione sits down beside him and she asks, "What books are you reading the whole time?"

"Books surrounding Magic, this book for example talks about Mysticism. It is a school of Magic almost forgotten," says Kaiser as he looked at his friend with a smile on his face.

"Mysticism something like Divination?" asks Hermione curiously since she sucked at Divination because she wanted to be in control of everything the whole time.

"You could say so but there is more to it," says Kaiser as Hermione tried to get a sneak peak at the book which Kaiser put down on the table so Hermione could look at it better.

"You just need to ask the next time. I won't hide anything from you," says Kaiser as he smiled at her letting her read from the book while he opened another one this time it had a blue furball on it in the eyes of Hermione.

He lend the book about Mysticism to Hermione since she was so eager to read it just to stuff Professor Trelawney' mouth about her having no talent in Divination while Kaiser was reading quite passionate about his current book.

It was a book about how to summon beast or item without the use of runes. Kaiser could summon his axes because of the runes on the pommel but if he is far away for his partners to follow him he would need a way to summon them.

This book was his best bet at the moment when Professor McGonagall enters the room and asks for their full attention which she received from most of the students as always.

She began with theory in the beginning before advancing to a more practical class in which the students tried to turn a hedgehog into a pincushion before turning it back.

Kai was successful on his second try which made Professor McGonagall award Ravenclaw with five points while Hermione and Daphne were awarded ten points for each house for succeeding on the first try.

Kai wasn't really interested in Apparations but they were are useful combat trick to turn your enemy into a barrel for example. The only thing on his mind right now was how to make it possible to summon Fenrir and Jörmungandr to his side at any moment.

He went through the book when Professor McGonagall asked Kaiser to stay back to have a private conversation. Kaiser stayed behind thinking that it could be interesting since Professor McGonagall was the smartest person he knew when it comes to Apparations.

"Mister Masters, I know that my class can be boring but I hoped that you would put more effort into it as you do in Defense against the Dark Arts and in Charms instead of reading a book in the middle of the class," says Professor McGonagall a bit angry with Kaiser since she knew that he could do better as he had shown just a moment ago.

She knew that if Kaiser had focused more.on the task given to him instead of reading he would have succeeded the first tike just like Daphne and Hermione.

She hears Kaiser sigh before he says, "I will try to be better the next time. It is just boring to study something that you already went through when I was trained by Logan."

"I know that you were trained by an amazing person but a student's duty is to surpass their teacher and to do that you will need to study even harder. I can understand that my class is just a repetition for you but I hoped that you could help your fellow classmates to elevated their level of understanding just like in Charms and Defense against the Dark Arts" says Professor McGonagall giving Kaiser something to think about.

"I will try to do so," says Kaiser as he began to think deeply about what Professor McGonagall just said about a teacher's wish was his student to surpass him.

'I never thought about that,' thinks Kaiser as Professor McGonagall dismisses him.

He walked out of the classroom before traveling to the next classroom which he needed to attend.

"Were you scolded for not paying attention?" asks Daphne who seemed to have waited for him.

"You could say so," says Kaiser not really interested in it before he asks, "How is your sister doing?"

"Better," says Daphne in a relieved tone when she continues, "Far better than when she was drinking potions everyday holding back the curse so she could use her Magic in class. Most of the students thought she was a squib and needed to use potions to awaken her magic."

"Well, at least she has an overprotective sister that is looking after her," says Kaiser with a smile on his face remembering another sibling duo before they entered the next classroom together.

Daphne was keeping appearances with the Slytherins as she made a scene while giving Kaiser a wink telling him that she wasn't serious while Kaiser understood her.

She would become an outsider inside her own house if she sticks up for him a 'Mage Hunter' or 'Monster' as they called him behind his back in Slytherin.

Kaiser sat down beside a Hufflepuff student and began to listen to Professor Snape who seemed to hate Harry a lot going by what Kaiser was seeing before the class ended and Kai needed to hear almost the exact same lecture from Snape just with a loss of five point.

Kaiser sighed thinking that school was too easy when he stumbled over Professor Moody doing something suspicious while nobody was looking but Kaiser ignored that since Moody was doing something like that everyday.

Kaiser already heard from other students that Moody was paranoid and Kaiser could confirm their theory since everything something was suspicious to the man he would investigate immediately or do something which would make him look suspicious.

As Kaiser walked away the Professor put a piece of paper in his sleeves ready to shock the whole school soon with what he had planned.
