The Switchblade
My second was the Switchblade—named exactly how it sounds, only scaled to the length of a full sword. To claim it, I had to cut through a dungeon master and every twisted creature it birthed. There's no clean way to describe the work. It's bloody. It demands skill. That's the life of a sword-chaser.
The Katana
The third blade changed things. The Katana doesn't just cut—it grants its wielder unnatural swiftness. I found it deep in an ancient dungeon, one that looked deceptively new despite being as old as bone dust. That retrieval nearly broke me: one thousand golems and two dungeon masters—massive, towering versions of the rest. Blood, sweat, and tears. Worth every drop.
The Blade of Hearts
Next came the Blade of Hearts. This one feeds on adrenaline—the faster your heart beats, the stronger it strikes. Calm your pulse, and it weakens. Not ideal for someone like me. I've always been steady in the heat of battle; nothing's pushed me to that edge yet. I won it in a kill competition: whoever slaughtered the most monsters claimed the prize. I walked away with 229. I couldn't have done it without my friends by my side.
The Blade of Fate
My fifth blade is the Blade of Fate. It looks like light given form—radiant, impossible, shaped into a sword. But it's a gamble. If fate favors you, the blade is unstoppable. If it doesn't, you lose the fight—or your life. My friends and I earned this one together. We massacred a dungeon master as one.
