Inside the Patriarch's courtyard within the Uchiha Compound, the atmosphere was electric. The highest-ranking members of the Uchiha Clan were gathered, their faces flushed with a triumphant, vindictive joy.
"Do you see it now, brothers?" Yashiro Uchiha called out, raising a cup of sake. "The Hokage thought the Anbu could easily replace us! And within days, their reputation has been dragged through the mud!"
Laughter echoed through the courtyard.
"For decades, the village blamed the 'Uchiha arrogance' for our poor relationship with the civilians," Yashiro continued, his voice hardening with realization. "The Anbu's current disaster proves it was all a lie. The Police Force system itself—designed by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju—was a structural trap designed to make us the village's scapegoats. We were blind to it for years. If Elder Jin had not taken command, we would have walked straight into our own extinction!"
Yashiro turned toward the head of the table. "To Elder Jin!"
The entire courtyard raised their cups in unison, their eyes burning with absolute loyalty. Even Fugaku Uchiha, the former Patriarch who had stubbornly clung to the village's ideals, raised his cup. He had finally accepted the brutal reality of Konoha's politics; Jin's ruthless pragmatism was the only thing keeping their clan alive.
Jin accepted the toast with a faint, composed smile and drank. Then, he raised a single hand.
Instantly, the boisterous courtyard fell into absolute silence.
"My brethren, hear me," Jin spoke, his voice calm but carrying a chilling weight. "We have secured a tactical victory, but this is not the time for celebration. To rest at the ninety-mile mark of a hundred-mile journey is to invite death."
He set his cup down, his eyes sweeping over the attentive elites. "Our malicious compliance strategy humiliated the Hokage's faction and exposed their incompetence, but it did not diminish their military infrastructure. In fact, we have achieved the opposite. By publicly cornering them, we have stripped away their political options. When politicians run out of bureaucratic maneuvers, they resort to absolute violence."
Jin's Internal Monologue: A cornered animal is the most dangerous. Hiruzen's public image is collapsing. He cannot solve the civil unrest legally. Therefore, he will authorize a black-ops elimination protocol to remove the source of his political headache: me.
"Prepare yourselves," Jin commanded, his tone turning icy. "The village administration is about to flip the board. They are coming for us."
The excitement in the courtyard evaporated, replaced instantly by the cold, calculating demeanor of veteran shinobi. They had learned the hard way that Jin's geopolitical predictions were flawless.
"Excellent," Jin said, noting their immediate shift in focus. "I anticipated this. If the Hokage's faction wishes to neutralize the Uchiha without triggering a civil war, they must assassinate me cleanly. However, I rarely leave the heavily fortified Uchiha Compound. To execute their ambush, they must draw me out."
Jin's eyes narrowed. "And there is only one piece of leverage they possess that could force me to walk into a trap: my parents."
A collective wave of killing intent erupted from the Uchiha elites.
"Say the word, Elder Jin!" Uchiha Teyaki snarled, his Sharingan blazing to life. "We will mobilize immediately and tear the village apart to rescue them!"
"He is right," Yashiro added, his voice vibrating with lethal intent. "You are the core of this clan. We cannot allow you to be compromised. We will storm wherever they are being held. Even if it costs us our lives, the Uchiha act as one!"
"I will personally lead the vanguard," Fugaku stated heavily, his Mangekyo Sharingan spinning into existence.
The courtyard was practically vibrating with bloodlust. Jin felt a flicker of genuine appreciation for their loyalty, but he swiftly raised his hand again, shutting down the emotional outburst.
"Calm yourselves," Jin ordered strictly. "Blind rage gets shinobi killed. I have already drafted the counter-offensive based on the psychological profiles of our enemies."
He began to outline the enemy's command structure. "Hiruzen Sarutobi is obsessed with his benevolent public image; he will not personally execute an illegal assassination. Advisors Koharu and Homura lack the combat capacity. Therefore, the executioner will be Danzo Shimura."
Jin tapped his finger on the table, mapping out the logic. "Danzo is known as the 'Darkness of Shinobi,' but his core traits are extreme cowardice masked by immense arrogance. He will not fight me fairly. He will deploy waves of expendable Root operatives to exhaust my Mangekyo chakra. However, his arrogance will compel him to be physically present at the ambush site to witness my supposed defeat."
Jin's Internal Monologue: Danzo operates on paranoia. If he is at the ambush site, he will not bring my parents with him; the risk of me securing them mid-battle is too high. He will keep them locked inside his most secure location—the underground Root Headquarters.
"Here is the operation," Jin declared. "We launch a two-pronged strike. I will willingly walk into Danzo's ambush and occupy his primary forces. Simultaneously, the Uchiha Police Force will execute a full-scale raid on Root Headquarters to extract my parents."
Fugaku frowned, analyzing the legal implications. "Jin, if we unilaterally assault a covert village facility without a warrant, Hiruzen will legally classify it as treason. We will lose the moral high ground we just fought so hard to build."
"We will not assault it without a warrant," Jin countered smoothly. "We will manufacture legal jurisdiction."
Jin leaned forward. "We have intelligence on several foreign spies currently operating in Konoha. We will apprehend one, place him under a Sharingan Genjutsu—hypnotic mind control—and command him to flee directly into the Root Headquarters. The Police Force will simply be in 'hot pursuit' of a known enemy combatant. Under Konoha Law, the Police Force has absolute jurisdiction to breach any facility when actively chasing a foreign threat."
The clan elders' eyes widened in realization. It was a perfectly legal loophole.
"While you are inside conducting the 'arrest,'" Jin added ruthlessly, "you will secure my parents. Furthermore, you are to confiscate all of Danzo's classified research, human experiment logs, and operational data. We will gut his foundation while he is busy trying to kill me."
The Uchiha elites grinned fiercely. It was a masterstroke.
"The tactical layout is set," Jin concluded, his expression suddenly darkening. "However, there is one final variable that concerns me. The only elements in this village that I cannot fully predict."
Jin looked around the courtyard. "Where are Shisui and Itachi? And what exactly have they been doing?"
