Alice was off with an attendant before Walker could even ask where the books he was looking for were. It seemed that she would be occupied with the translated and copied books about the broken healer for some time.
That left him looking at one of the shelves in the archive showing tales of some of the greater political mysteries that had been recorded.
As much as he wanted to focus on just mysteries and languages that were related to treasures and mysterious monsters, he realized that many involved the plots of nobles from years ago before it became more common place to use more advanced scouts.
Many kingdoms had not invested in information gathering scouts directed toward the people themselves. This meant that scouts were focused on gathering information on monsters, unexplored territories, or enemies. Not on their own people.
