Doing so would advance her all mana resistance skill which would make her much better at defending everyone who was standing behind her. Not to mention prepare her for when she was heading in to the more dangerous areas like the place they had just been.

Although slightly surprised by the fact that he wanted to help Alma get the nutrition and care she needed for that better, it was still not that shocking that Gil would specifically be asking Remey and Alice for that assistance.
