Ok, I have been watching vtubers again.
This time I happened upon a rhythem game player.
Long story short, it got me interested in other types of rhythem games. I settled playing OSU again, but this time I changed the gamemode. I tried out OSU Mania.
And I have been hooked.
Anyways...
The reason I'm writing this is simple. At first look, the Mania gamemode is a lot easier than the OG gamemode, but reality is often different from expectations.
Although I was never that good at the OG GM, I could get constantly C to B ranks on 4+ stars. I have to say that these results are after a 6+ months of pause.
So I thought that Mania is a lot easier (it is if you just turn on Mania mode, and play OSU AI generated maps). But boy was I wrong. At first even playing the easiest maps (and even AI generated ones) I had to go full focus to barely get a C rank.
I only play 4K maps. The K stands for keys/lines, I think.
The problem was that my fingers couldn't coordinate with my eyes. I often pressed to wrong key and missed shit tons of notes because of that. Moreover in Mania the hit accuracy is a lot more important than in OG.
Also I feel like the star rating for Mania is off, or maybe it's just me because I haven't played this type of rhythem games before. Then again I use 10 whateverthefuckitwas for my default speed.
Then again, I've only played this gamemode for 3 days now, a little bit everyday, and I'm nearing 2 star difficulties. Don't know if this improvement is slow or not, but I'm proud of myself, so it doesn't really matter.
So I've been having fun. What about you guys?
