I was given a black coat on whose back side were black wings representing the affiliate I belong to, The Void Masters.
I finally got out of first floor, and as soon as I stepped into the portal and came out on the other side , the scenery was entirely different than the first floor, the floor had no resting area like the first floor as it was either do or die, though if you don't die you have the option of trying again from second floor onwards. The contenders only get rest only when they complete one floor, so contenders go without rest for weeks, the food is provided for by the authorities, if not a survival type floor.
I was worried by the fact that if my name was not in the system as I was considered dead, what will happen if administrator greeted me personally, but as soon as I stepped outside the portal I was greeted by a crowd all waiting for the second trial to start, I instinctively searched for my teammates, but I think they had already completed the second trial,, they are a strong team after all, and as I was thinking about them my holochrome buzzed, it was a message from them, they had completed the second trial with success and secured the highest points in the trial and were ranked fifth in the history of that trial.
"Greeting of the day to you challengers, I am the administrator of this round. You can call me Uravis, also known as Ezekiel(In chapter "The first trials and affiliates") The details of second will be conveyed to you in a short while so please wait."
I remembered that this was the guy Jack asked me to meet up with was Ezekiel, but how was I supposed to meet him in front of these Challengers. Suddenly I realised that he was inspecting every challenger, and at that moment I kept the card in my pocket such that only part of it was visible, such that only someone who knows what it was will recognise it and rest will just look over it like a minor detail. Sure enough he recognised it, and came down to me "You why do you have that, come with me now!".
He teleported us to somewhere secluded and asked me the same question again, "Why do you have my favour card, only one person has it, and that is Jack."
"He gave it to me and asked me to me to meet you." I answered him.
"So he used his card for a kid, What's you name?". He asked.
"Zack, you don't have you name registered in the roster of challengers, and it says that you died during the workshop trials, I guess the favour of that old man is to make you an official participant again, well this will be hard if we use your original name, but if we use some other name it will be as easy as baking a pie. So, what do you want, original or fake???" he asked.
"I am fine with the fake one, for now I don't want any problems with my past enemies." I said. "Thank you for your help, Sir."
"Yeah, No problem, so what is your new name." He asked me.
"Ryujin, please" I asked.
"Wow boy, I sure hope you live up to your name, and give me some entertaining performance." He said, as he took me back. "Now people I will be conveying the scenario of the second trial. You are a total of 100 people here and some are old faces and some are new, the scenario is quiet simple, if I say so myself. The objective of this test is to either kill the opponent you are facing or survive the monster waves. You have to do either one in the given time frame which is five days, and then if time is left you will be given the option to either continue the trial or end it. If you continue then you cannot leave the trial in the middle."

"The trial will start in ten minutes. Please be ready. Spear of the red dragon appear before me."
'Hey kid you haven't talked to us in a long time, lily is quite worried you see.' Sebastian said in my mind.
"Hey Lily, how have you been" I asked her in my mind.
'Thanks for remembering me, you dumb bastard, so you know about the history of the world we live in now, so how do you feel.'
"Honestly I want to meet these old ones of the ancient civilisation and kill them for manipulating us." I replied.
'Complete the tower you maybe able to meet them.' Lily replied.
The tower…I will destroy this from the outside, due to this tower I was betrayed by people I started caring about, I will definitely destroy the tower and free our home of this curse.
The roster was out, I was paired with someone new because I could not remember the guy from workshop, I guess he was from the older batches. I wonder though if the selection process is so tough where do so many people come from.... Nothing will come out of this, let's just focus on the trial for now. I am thinking I should kill all the monsters as it will be easier for me to deal with the monsters instead of the guilt that comes with killing a human.
