Chapter 19 - Life!

'Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.' -Mark Twain and Large Farva

I just want to apologize for the sudden disappearance all those years ago. While I had Covid, life really stepped up to wreck havoc on my life. There was new job opportunities, followed by another job opportunity a few months later. That one resulted in a move across the state and was again followed by another job opportunity and then another!

My career has benefitted greatly the past few years, but I put writing on the back burner during that time. I'm still chasing one more promotion, but that one wont have too large of an impact on my daily routine.

While I haven't been posting any updates, I've not entirely given up on writing. My WebNovel stories capacity is completely full and I'm sitting at roughly 300,000 words for outlines and chapters for different story ideas.

As for this story, I wrote the outline for the last chapter the same day I wrote the first chapter because I originally planned for the main character to jump into another adventure. I also have the next two chapters rough drafted, but I'm running pretty low on filler chapters to help me reach the final chapter. I even ready the Harry Potter books again and found that even JKR skipped multiple months at a time.

With my TDG story, the LHP is just too big of a cheat. It's really hard to build tension in a story when the main character has the ultimate pimp hand.

With the Professor D story, I messed up with the timelines of the merged worlds. I have several villains fleshed out once he hit the MCU portion, but that was going to be a long way to get there. (I planned out a way to fix that, but it felt like a far reach and didn't sit right with me.)

As for my Game of Thrones story... I loved it, but it scares me. After I published the last chapter, I started to do an outline for all the butterfly effects and was quickly overwhelmed. To do it any justice, I would have had to create an entirely new story with George's characters and I was worried I wouldn't do them justice. Along with that, there was no way I could have kept up with one chapter a week due to the amount of world building I would need to do.

Anywho.

The problem I'm finding with my stories, is that I quickly lose interest in my characters once they reach a certain power level. I have started over 40 short stories with different powers and in different worlds, but I'm having troubling keeping them longer than a couple dozen chapters. That's the other problem; knowing too much about the story world. It's not easy for me to ignore an obvious plot hole, but that just leads to the story turning into a 'fix it' story.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I may be dropping some chapters, or an entirely new story soon.

I've got multiple stories started on Game of Thrones, TDG, The Vampire Diaries, Invincible, The 100, The Boys, Skyrim, Warlock in a Magnus World, Star Wars, 40k Warhammer, Harry Potter, and combinations of those worlds.

On a side note; if anyone has any questions about my posted stories, I'm not against giving out spoilers.

Thanks for enduring my ramblings.
