However, he is not old yet. He is just in his early sixties, and life still has a long way to go, with decades of time ahead.
Even though he indeed doesn't have the same spark as when he was young, it's okay. Back then, he could produce two works a year, both of which were good. Now, even if his energy and talent are depleted, with careful crafting, releasing one work every two or three years is still feasible.
If he hadn't participated in Cannes and didn't take this international journey, he wouldn't have had so many reflections. But this time, going to Cannes, he truly felt that his works still have ample room for improvement and refinement.
Though he was among the first ones to go commercial, and he has various projects and different indicators at hand, perhaps it's time for him to settle down and strive to create a good piece of work.
