He was wearing swim trunks, his upper body bare, and Scarlett studied him in the light coming from the room.
After an afternoon nap, he seemed to be in high spirits.
Scarlett said, "Can I take the night off?"
She was so sleepy.
Julian Rhodes said, "Do you think your conscience won't hurt if you take time off?"
"I hardly slept during the day. Unlike you, sleeping for so long." She looked at him and said, "You've been sleeping all afternoon just for this, haven't you?"
"..." Julian listened to her words and averted his gaze.
Scarlett said, "So it's true. You look guilty as sin."
He snorted and said, "Come over here to me."
Scarlett heard his words, used the buoyancy of the water, and moved beside him.
The stars were beautiful tonight. Scarlett sat with him, gazed at the sky, and said, "The night is so beautiful today."
Julian looked at her, "Not one tenth as beautiful as you."
