Gu Jin sat at her desk, while Ma Qiaolan, seated behind her, leaned over the table and asked, "Gu Jin, you're a bit late today. Were you caught up with your brother causing trouble?"
"Not at all, he's very well-behaved. I just overslept today, and he even made breakfast."
Gu Jin refuted Ma Qiaolan from the back row while taking things out of her backpack.
Feng Hui, sitting in front of her, turned around and said enviously, "Really? I wish I had a brother too."
She was an only child and particularly envious of those with siblings.
Even her deskmate Hu Yue was a bit surprised by what she heard and turned around to look at Gu Jin.
Hu Yue's face did not show envy, but confusion, as if she, like Ma Qiaolan, couldn't understand how there could be such a good brother.
Gu Jin's smile deepened, "Little An is really great; he's very well-behaved and obedient."
