Main Characters
Bellavarn: A young man on Earth was unhappy with his life and decided to end it. After his death, his memories were transferred to a different Bellavarn in a different world. Confused, he tried to acclimate. Ending up with memories of two lives, he found that this world has it out for him in a terrible way. Normally reserved and unsociable, he is forced to change and adapt to survive the challenges being thrown at him.
Lecil/Celia: First Princess of the Lionel Kingdom and ordinary Earth girl. Memories fused, Lecil realized her life is a game, a shitty game. With a bad ending around every turn and needing to cater to absurd relationship percentages and game metrics, Celia struggles to survive. Despite sharing a body, the two souls can't seem to agree on anything other than their hatred for the game developers.
April: An imaginative and bookish orange-haired girl. Due to her complexion and her family's wishes, she's spent most of her life cooped up inside, imagining a white knight coming to her rescue.
Melody: A kind maid who got close to Bellavarn. The events thereafter are shrouded in mystery or conspiracy.
House Sallow
Braster Sallow: The Duke of House Sallow and Bellavarn's father. He governs the Northern most sections of the Lionel Kingdom. A strange curse is constantly trying to kill him in strange ways. He can manage it by expending small amounts of his "debt" daily.
He is proud of his family's history and is a beacon of hope for his people. As a loving father, he would do anything to protect his son, no matter who he is or what he chooses to become.
Cynthia: A tall and often wordless maid who prefers to complete her work than engage in idle conversation. She enjoys pointing out mistakes of others. Kerv has a crush on her.
Denice: As a maid who often passes by in silence, her presence can be forgettable. Tea is her hobby. She collects rare tea leaves and porcelain sets. She loves the rain and is prone to introspection and fancy. Most of her duties revolve around ferrying food or documents
Ester: The Duchess handpicked every member of the staff, but it is uncertain why Ester was hired as a maid. Ester herself didn't even know why she applied other than boredom.
Henry: A specialized member of House Sallow. He is a guard and knight with subterfuge skills.. Many of his duties are designated by Duke Sallow and remain unknown to everyone, even the Duchess at times. Along with Kerv, he serves faithfully and acts as a good friend to Bellavarn.
Jeral Cross: A loyal guard with an intelligent mind. He wasn't the best at the Knight Academy, but he was one of the most diligent. He has an eye for tactics, and enjoys games. Above all, he is fiercely protective of his sister.
Kerv: Bellavarn's best friend and guard. His laidback and casual nature makes him easy to get along with. Anyone who mistakes him for being a rugged fool, however, is in for a rude awakening.
Korel and Taren: A pair of guards approached on the night of Bellavarn's supposed nightmare. Often together, they're in charge of night security at the Sallow's mansion.
Kyle: An honest guard who is terrible at keeping secrets.
Lannie Cross: A sweet maid. She is a hard worker and genuine in everything she does. Working as a washer, she helped pay her brother's way into the Knight Academy. He later got her a job as a maid in the Sallow House. She was the closest person to Melody before the incident and is certain that there was a misunderstanding.
Misses Vale: Head Chef of the Sallow house. She is boisterous with a voice that carries and an attitude to match. Raising six children has taught her to be firm with her words and to whip some sense into anyone misbehaving.
Nem: A simple carriage driver. He's always on time. His son is taking the knight exam.
Ness: A very young, bright-eyed and affable maid who is bouncy and gossipy. She sees the world through rose colored glasses and often gets a smack on the head for letting her mouth run.
Oslo: The head butler of the Sallow estate. He has managed Sallow business for nearly twenty years and has watched young Bellavarn grow up into the person he is today. There is no one more reliable than him and he always has the best interests of the family in mind.
Parcy: Trisha's aid. They've been friends since their teenage days, but their relationship has always been a strange one. Parcy serves Trisha with the utmost care, but her words can be scathing at times. What she does as an aid isn't talked about.
Potter: A smug guard with incredible luck. He never loses a game of chance and is abundantly aware of that fact.
Simon: The doctor on retainer with the Sallow house. He's knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. His speciality is cardiology.
Trisha Salow: The Duchess of House Sallow and Bellavarn's mother. She is a protective mother who treasures her son Bellavarn dearly and has been spending the last several months trying make up for a costly mistake. Hindered by her pregnancy, her magical power decreased from Ludicrous to Ridiculous. She remains one of only three people in the Kingdom capable of physically manifesting her mana. The people of the North refer to her as the Empress of Ice and Fire.
Wendle : A skilled gardener who specialized in winter flora. A meek but highly respectful old man who's dedicated his whole life to his passion. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and opens up when talking about anything related to it.

Vienna: Soup.
The Royal Palace
King Francis Lionel II: He is the current king of the Lionel Kingdom, second to his name, and the 34th ruler on the throne. The Kingdom itself moved around several times before settling into place several generations ago with the founding of the Royal Palace. King Francis is a stickler for tradition and has led his people through relative peace for the duration of his long reign.
At 68 years old, he has held the throne for longer than all his predecessors. Fostering children at a late age and with the death of his wife, the Queen, several years ago, King Francis' reign is surely coming to an end. Between his four offspring and the vying houses, it is up in the air who will lead the Kingdom when he is gone. Most attention is on the First Prince, but King Francis has yet to make a decision.
Prince Tristan: As the First Prince, he is the most apparent heir to the Kingdom. His personality has soured since the death of the Queen. He treats his sister, Princess Lecil, with the utmost disdain to the point of nearly killing her outright.
Regardless of his personal feelings and occasional social ineptitude, he is more than qualified to take the throne. His sword skills cannot compare to his brother's, but his administrative and management skills make him the better candidate.
Prince Kly: The stone-faced Second Prince has little desire for anything other than the sword. Nearly all of his time is spent training. He understands battle more than most, even if his experience is lacking. Many have placed bets on who would win in a fight, Prince Kly or Duke Raiden.
Princess Anne: As the youngest of the royal heirs, she received the most attention growing up. She is used to getting the things she wants and has learned how to get the things she can't.
Rain: A young man assigned to guard the Princess whenever she goes out. He is still in his second year of Royal Guard training, so most of his time is taken up with exercise and weapons practice. He is a very gullible person, but has a clear sense of right from wrong. Upright, loyal, and true, there is no one more suited to being a Knight.
Irene: Lecil's personal maid. Her personality is that of a diligent and honest maid. Her job is important to her. The only thing she values more is the Princess.
House Raiden
Klein Raiden: Managing to rise past his parents to the position of Duke through action and achievement, he is the epitome of a war hero. At the young age of twenty-two, he already finds most mortal pleasures boring. With everything seemingly easy to accomplish, he gives up quickly on anything tedious.
House Astor
Daven Astor: A sharp individual who took over his house at the age of eighteen. He has nearly full-control of all business in and around the capital. Believing eloquent words and subtle manipulation trumps blunt tools 99% of the time, he embodies his belief. His goal seems to be to cut out all competition and to remove the Sallows from power specifically.
Those working under House Astor are numerous and uncountable. His allies spread everywhere and anyone who thinks to go against him meet an unfortunate end along with everyone around them. There's no one he trusts 100%.
