Melissa pondering within her heart, 'Why is it this last two weeks since the incident, he only leaves his office when he has to attend to his meeting.
Could it be that he is afraid to expose himself or that the nightmares are still coming.'
Recalling as he was speaking about his dreams he seems a bit concern. Melissa wonder if it is the incident or is the dinner with Diandra?
I must be thankful he is not grouchy, as he was when she was with him that last two days.'
Knowing he was in no condition to drive, Melissa took it upon herself, arranging a driver to take him around to each location.
He has never let anyone one tell him or dictate what to do when it comes to the Company, but he has accepted her decision especially after what had occurred.
The Wednesday before the dinner, Alex allowed the staff to sit in his office and listen to the radio broadcast, but he just stands by the window.
Listening to the broadcast quietly allowing it to soak in with the many question. Finally without any doubt reality has hit home, and now he has to fight for the family he had longed for.
Thinking, 'He just hope everything goes well at the dinner and he get some clarification.'
Melissa looks at him pondering in her heart, 'So many thing has change since we had figure out the story of the plant.
He had asked her to give each Sergeants that was of duty an appointed time to come in to have a meeting for Thursday morning.
He seems to be restructuring the Company as he evaluates each of the Sergeant.
Thursday morning bright and early he ask that while he interview there were no disturbance while he work.
The day was busy and running smoothly at the office, when she receive a call that seem very important from his doctor.
Melissa thought 'She didn't know he visited the doctor, but the Doctor said it was urgent that he speak with Boss.
When she call the office phone, hearing how angry he was for the disturbance, "Sir please, I know what you ask but this call seem very important."
"Can't you handle this matter?"
"Sir, it's your Doctor, I believe it is a personal matter which you alone should take."
"Okay!"
Alex asked the Sergeant to wait outside and inform Melissa to give the waiting sergeants a slight refreshment because of the delay.
Waiting as the Sergeant leaves his office then pick up the phone, "Yes hello, Dr. Ferguson it is good to hear from you."
Listening to him while he speak, then he ask, "When last he saw Diandra."
"Doctor, I haven't seen her in a few months. but did she visit you in your office? You did, well she was just a guess in my home when her foot got damage."
Hearing it was important for her to get massage therapy.
"Doctor I will try and get word to her," Then Alex listens to what he was saying with great concern.
"Doctor, are you sure, when did you see her, okay and thank you so much. I appreciate your concern and the news I will try my best to attend to that matter urgently."
Resting down the phone , feeling this joy from the news but he worried about her.
Melissa seeing the red light off her phone, knowing the call was finish. Standing up she went and knock at his door then enters is office. "Boss, are you ready for me to send in the Sergeant?"
Getting no response she venture in front of him, it seem he was so lost in thought that he haven't heard a word I said.
When he looks at me, he was in a daze, but then he said, "Melissa will you please ask the Sergeants to return tomorrow in the same order and if anyone call or come in to see me, I am not in.
Now if you will excuse me I need to lie down." When he stood up and went to his room she close his office door locking it.
Alex, went and take a long cold shower, wanting a cool head to think through this matter clearly.
Lying down, feeling the tears flow as the thought of having his own family overwhelmed him.
He wipe the tears, "From the moment he began thinking about Diandra and the thought of having a family it seem something has happen, now that is becoming a reality."
Taking the almanac up, counting the weeks since the night they had slept together, feeling this joy thinking about becoming a father.
"Oh, dear Lord, she is already thirteen weeks. Dr. Ferguson said she wasn't looking well.
Now she cannot be stress out for money. I must send more funds for her. She will need medication and nourishment also things for my son."
Closing his eyes Alex realized that all the time he was going about this search the wrong way. 'Worrying and stressing out himself will only cause him to make bad decision.
He was overworked and need to get some rest, his family will need him when they meet up once more. Oh God and you know that I need them."
Becoming restless Alex speak to himself as he took some deep breaths "Alex a few months ago you didn't thought this was going to become possible.
Now it is beyond my expectation, and I am expecting another baby soon."
With the excitement bubbling within him, Alex didn't know how to express himself so he began praying.
"Lord, how can I ever thank You, I don't deserve your blessing but You look beyond my faults and given me the desires of my heart. Why didn't I come to myself earlier, I was like the prodigal son leaving my house full and returning in rags and empty hand. Lord your love and mercy is unenumerable towards me and your blessing is overflowing."
Unable to stop the tears as he gives thanks and praise the Lord, not knowing for how long as he falls asleep.
