Chapter 37 - DIANDRA WAS CRYING IN HER DREAM

Securing her hair so no dust will get on it, Diandra band her head properly then begin rubbing the wall in the library.

Before taking her bath she barricades the area where they tile so Alex will not enter.

The only room that was accessible was the laundry room downstairs and the men had tiled at the step entrance. Locking the laundry room she took her bath

Diandra thought, 'Why didn't Alex send any lunch for her, now it only has a few slices of bread.

Thank God I think when they were taking the microwave to the kitchen, and ask them to rest it in the study.

Taking the two cups she left in the study and a plate, having to go to the laundry room for water so she will have one for when Alex returns home.

Making the sandwiches leaving one for him and eat the smaller ones. Sipping her tea wondering as she relax hearing the clock bang eleven.

'Alex says he will call, and it is already eleven–o-clock and he hasn't called yet?' Making a cup of tea for him resting it alongside his sandwich.

Diandra thought, 'The reason he is so late is because there must be a shortage of officers.' Closing her eyes Diandra prayed for his safety then pull the covers.

Alex walks through the front door half two. Tired and hungry, afraid to sit down before he falls asleep on himself.

Seeing the barricade with the chairs and ladders, stepping aside. Noticing near the couch there was a center table with a towel covering something.

Removing the towel seeing a sandwich and a cup of tea. Going to the study seeing her asleep.

He take the microwave out to the hall, and reheat the tea and warm the sandwich. Happy to get something to put in his stomach.

Feeling like his body drifted, thinking, 'I haven't eaten anything for the entire day, and he had completely forgotten to send lunch for her.

But it seems as though she was thinking about me. I thought she might be worried about me with the news on every television station.'

Looking around for the television wondering, 'Where is it?'

Feeling so sticky, Alex knew she is asleep, he just takes his clothes of, only having on his brief and walk into the laundry room.

Seeing his clothes folded in his laundry basket, not having access to his room, he used a towel and take a sponge bath, not wanting to wet his feet.

Pulling on a boxers and a vest, then take a large towel and cover lying on the couch.

With his eyes close he thought, 'I was expecting her to be awake and marching up and down, but I am glad she is asleep, because if she was awake I would have to answer too many questions.

But it would have been really nice if she was awake to welcome me home, after a very strenuous and hard day.'

Whispering a word of thanks and praise to God for helping him, and for not losing the contract.

The owner was very lenient knowing it was not the negligence of his officers, but it was an inside job and everything that was stolen was retrieved.'

"Lord, thank you for wisdom and insight that as we investigate we eventually get to the truth, and the perpetrators were caught. And all the chemicals that were stolen were returned.

Lord I want to thank You, that none of my men was discredited, they had one report as a testimony. Once more, I thank you for your favor, protection, and for all your help you send my way, amen."

Diandra woke at five-thirty feeling tired and drain, thanking God that the men are not working today, taking off the fan feeling the place freezing.

Thinking about Alex, wondering, 'If he was still working, or did he get relieved by another officer?'

Wrapping herself with her blanket walking out to the hall, seeing a towel on the floor and he was almost half-naked.

Taking her blanket Diandra covers him then take a chair and place it near the step and climb over the rail going to his room.

The room was colder than downstairs, doubling the counter pane and cover. The bed feels wonderful and comfortable.'

Thinking, 'I cannot get too comfortable, so I will just have to sleep on the lumpy couch for a few more days. All I need now is a few hours of good rest.'

Waking up after twelve and open Alex's door, looking down seeing him still asleep on the couch.

Returning to the room opening the window then lie down on the bed, thinking, 'There isn't any bread and I have no access to the kitchen.'

Taking the bible recognizing it was Christina's bible, as tears fill her eyes, Diandra just pulls the covers and lies quietly.

Hearing the water running she wakes up, it was after three but she felt so refreshed.

Slipping out of the bed quietly and quickly and return to the study and lie down once more. Closing her eyes thinking, 'If she move around much, she will feel hungry.

Thanking God for the free day, the extra rest was good, and tomorrow she will visit Christina's church,'

Diandra only hope was, 'The hours of service haven't changed, from when she and Christina used to attend Church Service.' Dosing of dreaming Sam was not well and Champ was crying.

Alex hearing her crying, he walks into the study, realizing she was dreaming as the crying continues and the tears flowing.

Gently shaking her Alex keep calling her name, "Diandra, Diandra, wake up, Diandra, wakeup please."

When her eyes did open, she grab hold of him, hearing her saying in just a whisper, "Something is wrong."

When she stood up Alex said, "It's all right you were just dreaming, nothing it wrong so stop worrying."

"To you it might be just a dream, bit I know something is wrong, Alex, my dreams come true most of the time, that's why I am so worried."
