Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Knight In Shining Armour

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?"

Standing before everyone was none other than a knight of the kingdom, this was no normal knight though, a powerful one at that. Everyone stared in awe, not knowing how to react; his presence alone had everyone afraid, even though he was an ally.

His elegant white hair running down to his shoulders, his stance, even the way he spoke speaks volumes about his character. That wasn't the only thing, even the sharp-refined blade on his waist did not look like a sword your average knight would be carrying.

After looking at the Knight, Ken became frozen in fear.

"As soon as I come back from a mission, I've already run into a mess just my luck... I'm guessing it was you who caused this ruckus and broke the rules of this city?"

"It wasn't my fault that man has been stealing from people and decided to attack me first! All I did was defend myself."

The knight turned his head to the crowd as if he was about to ask a question.

"Is this boy telling the truth?"

Without saying a single word, some of the people in the crowd nodded slightly. The knight let out a sigh of relief most likely because he didn't want to have to arrest a child.

"I see, well then I Zelios a proud knight of Zarxion shall take over from here so move along everyone and continue your activities before this happened."

As soon as Zelios said that the entire crowd dispersed without a second to waste; it was as if the entire thing had been staged or could it have been that they were afraid to anger the knight, but then one person remained, it was Ken. Zelios was confused and said

"Oh?"

Without giving Zelios any time to say anything more, Ken's fear turned into curiosity and came out with an interesting question.

"You're a powerful knight, so you've been on journeys around the world right. Could you tell me what it's like?"

Zelios looked surprised it was for sure an intriguing question. Usually, everyone would be afraid of asking him a simple question like that. However, at this point Ken had no idea about who he was talking to and how important he was.

"I'm afraid I cannot answer that question for you, everyone perceives this world in their own way if you want to find out then grow strong and venture out into the wild, reach places not even I Zelios have. Only truly then you'll be able to find out the answer to your question. I hope fate can bring us together once again when you have grown stronger since I'd like to see you, but until then we shall part ways, since I'm sure we both have places to be right now."

Zelios proceeded to walk the other way with the tied up criminal.

Even though this was their first-ever encounter, it felt like Zelios knew something about Ken and had been waiting to see him, it left many unanswered questions.

Ken stood there in confusion, trying to figure out what Zelios meant by that. Then all of a sudden it came back to him, he was supposed to meet up with his mother again almost half an hour ago! Ken sprinted to the entrance like there was no tomorrow since he had completely lost track of time.

"Do you know how late you are Ken!"

"Sorry, I got a little sidetracked and completely forgot about the time."

"You know that excuse doesn't make things any better... You made me very worried I was about to go search for you. I hope you didn't get yourself into any trouble."

"Of course not! I would never get myself into any trouble it was more of a minor disagreement..."

"Oh Ken, what do I even do with you at this point. You seem to be fine, so I suppose it couldn't have been too bad. Let's head back."
