Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Mu Mansion Space Unlocked (Part 1)

After nearly ten days of bumping along, Mu Ge finally returned to the Capital City of Qin Country—Luodu—following Mu Xiong.

The horses entering the city numbered no more than ten. Leading the way were two guards of Mu Xiong. The grandfather and grandson each rode their horses, walking in the middle of the procession.

The army sent to find Mu Qingge had already returned to the camp to report upon their return.

Meanwhile, Prince Rui Qin Jinhao left prior to entering the city, leaving only a message that he would visit Mu Qingge another day and bring small gifts to soothe her.

Thus, the originally near-thousand strong team was reduced to Mu Xiong, Mu Qingge, and eight trusted aides of Mu Mansion.

Entering Luodu, Mu Ge felt for the first time the scale of this capital city in the Otherworld.

Throughout the days traveling to Luodu, Mu Ge came to understand that the Qin Country she was in was merely one among many on the Linchuan Continent, and moreover, it was classed at the lowest third-class level.

Not discussing that there were not only two or three countries at the third-class level, but considering that above third-class were second-class countries, and above second-class were first-class. It's imaginable that the Emperor of Qin Country did not hold his position comfortably.

The classification of countries is ranked based on the number of Purple Mirror experts and the comprehensive national strength. The higher the level, the stronger the power, and naturally, the better the resources enjoyed.

Directly speaking, third-class countries possess only one or two Purple Mirror experts, while second-class countries have numbers in the tens. As for the Linchuan Continent, the only first-class empire, the Holy Yuan Empire, the number of Purple Mirror experts is unknown, but external speculation suggests the number is no less than a hundred.

Purple Mirror experts can live up to a thousand years; the longer they live, the stronger their power becomes.

It is said that a Purple Mirror expert, with a full power strike, can obliterate a small city.

Given such disparity in strength, it is no wonder that even a battlefield veteran like Mu Xiong would display humility and reverence at the sight of the Holy King's vehicle of the Holy Yuan Empire.

Power! In any world, what matters is still strength!

Silently, Mu Ge clenched her fists tightly.

"Ge'er, once we return home, you should rest well. We'll discuss other matters once you've recuperated," Mu Xiong's voice came through, interrupting Mu Ge's thoughts.

She shifted her gaze to her grandfather, who was walking alongside her, and nodded silently.

She indeed needed time to understand this world more clearly. As for He Cheng, who was tied up at Mu Mansion... Mu Xiong wasn't in a hurry, Qin Jinhao wasn't in a hurry, and she certainly wouldn't be in a hurry.

Mu Ge's lips briefly flashed a mischievous smile, her gaze returning to the Capital City of Qin Country.

Hmm, the streets are wide. The city walls are tall, shops are abundant, the noise of people fills the air, bustling and lively, indeed possessing the grandeur and dominance of a national capital.

But why do the eyes around her look at her as if avoiding a venomous snake?

With cold eyes quietly scanning the pedestrians beside her, Mu Ge furrowed her brows in confusion.

"The young Lord of the Mu Family has returned!"

"Heavens! How long has this little tyrant been away from Luodu? I haven't had enough good days, and now he's back already?"

"Shh, keep it low! Do you think your life is too long?"

"Right! If this demon hears you, peeling off a layer of skin is light punishment."

The eyes filled with fear and disdain landed on Mu Ge, making her thoroughly uncomfortable. She glanced at Mu Xiong beside her, whose expression was indeed quite poor.

With a disdainful pout, Mu Ge internally remarked: All those 'nonsense from the rabble-rousers', she could hear, but how could Mu Xiong, a Blue Realm expert, not hear?

Her gaze left Mu Xiong and fell upon Mu Qingge walking closely by her side, the implication in her eyes was clear.

"I just dealt with several who dared disrespect Mu Mansion openly a few times," Mu Qingge explained nonchalantly.
