The phone vibration woke Jared from his sleep, he gently dislodge himself from Penelope so as not to wake her.
He had spent the night in her hospital bed with her cos he didn't want to leave her. What happened to Penelope had really shook him up, the knowledge that he had almost lost her.
As he picked the phone he turned to look at her, sleeping so peaceful and her face had more color than the day before.
" Hello", he said without looking at the phone all his eyes was on his woman.
" Jared where are you?", Came the question
" Mom, why are you calling me at the time of the morning?", He questioned instead as he glanced at the clock beside the hospital bed which made him realize it was just 6:15am in the morning.
" I asked you a question'', came the response which was spoken in anger.
