WULFRIC stared at the scene inside Cynric's private sitting room. His brother and Davis were sitting together, with Davis clinging to Cynric like sticky bubblegum. The sight alone made Wulfric's annoyance spike. Then his gaze moved to Aster, and his expression softened. He looked him over carefully, checking for any sign that something had happened to him. Thankfully, he seemed fine. Well, aside from the fake smile on his lips.
But Wulfric didn't think there was anything wrong with that. Aster didn't really know Cynric or Davis, so there was no reason for him to smile genuinely at the two. Which was only natural. Aster's real smile was so beautiful. Did they really deserve to see it so easily?
