"I wouldn't call it a cluster fuck just yet," The other figure prompted
The other figure lean in his chair next to Zeus, he watched Zeus glance at him with a soft smirk when they both stared at Shai, she held the marble chair harshly, her fingers twitching, trying to coup with the pain that plagued her,
"Well i heard some of what you all were talking about waking here, it has to do with me and a spell?" Shai asked
"Good, that means you have an idea of what we are discussing," Zeus assured his hand over the maps that the figure is powering, it shined showing the building that graced the middle of the universe, its fading glow that once shined green how was a holy light, a eye blinding white a bright light glowed from the top floor, a figure staring out of the window not at Zeus or Odien, nor Hera, Isis or Pele, at Shai. Standing at where she sat, like they were watching them, Shai stared at it seeing the person looking out the window,
"We were taking collective thought from your previous state," Isis cut in her brown gaze met Shais, the gold curls in her eyes with a subtle but Shai saw it, like a wind brought sand with it, curling in Isis's eyes, Shai almost lost herself in it, whether it be from the pain or the whimsical sight of Isis eyes.
"My State? What do you mean?" Shai inquired,
"When you were brought back from that building," Susanno interrupted
Shai peered at him his deep blue eyes caught hers, she heard him motioning to the building the roof to be precise,
"When you were taken from the roof back here you were on the edge of death. We were flown to the room you woke up in but there was a certain spell that." Susanno stopped, he held his sword tighter, his gaze darkened with interest.
"Make it out alive, it's never been seen before, most go through that and don't take another breath." He continued
"What spell? I can't remember." Shai uttered her her hand lightly touched her head, feeling how sensitive her head is,
"We didn't think you would remember," Asclepius confided
He rubbed his chin, examining Shai, finding the aches of her body just by inspecting her, shaking the glazed over eyes that stared at him patiently hearing them.
"You were knocked out in bed, meeting death when Apollo and I prepared the spell, it caused the participant to feel the pain from their life over again, like a grunted memory, but in more than your memory it reacts with the body, the pain is known to be excruciating, all did not live but you have," Asclepius proceeded
"You can say excruciating, skin burning or even tearing but yes, I felt the water I felt the burning but was that really what the spell was?" Shai asked,
"It was. The spell was odd. Something that I've only seen from off handed companies. However, it seems like you also had another person's memory with you. That's why it was more aggressive than we have seen before. Other die from the first tethering of the healing but you had two to handle Shai," Apollo explained
Shai stared at them, confused, her body started to tremble worse, another memory that made her have worse pain. They weren't talking about this when she was listening in, she heard of her being stubborn or how she would react, not this. Shai looked at Asclepius and Apollo peering between them,
"That's not what I was hearing in the hall, will it bring in why I can't remember what the spell was?" Shai asked
"The pain was too much for you to handle, so your body couldn't fathom it. The memory of it all flashed away. Your body remembers the pain, but the memory of it vanished," Apollo answered
Shai looked at him thoughtfully, trying to understand even in what circumstances they have themselves in. Art leans closer to Shai, her hand treading near Shai's. Art tilted her head to the side to get a better look of Shai's reactions, how she was feeling. Confused utterly but trying to be open minded in this environment, it's all they can ask for,
"But Shai, that wasn't the point of this. You have seen into Dalos mind, right? You witnessed what happened to him, what he was with Apet and Haldio? You saw his betrayal from what i recall," Art asked
"Yes i think i have before i saw him with Apet. witnessed the whole thing," Shai admitted
"Then you went through his pain, right? You were in his mind, taking part in his memories, of the affections he's been through and the agony he experienced," Art assured she held Shai's hand, her face a small smile, but Shai stared conflicted, her hand drifting to where the weapon, Dalos. Once was. Shai peered at it her eyes darkened,
"The spell worked with his memory and linger presence within you, Shai it changed you, right you felt it. Now you seen it."
Shai tilted her head to Art listening to her, "He stayed with you. For what months? His power seeped into you from the weapon from your time with him. That spell it made you into Dalos in more ways then his abilities, it made you into one of us, even the figures in a way" Art explained her hand clasp tightly to Shais,
"Half assed way sure,"The other figure muttered when hes hit in the shoulder harshly, he peered at the figure mocking ouch came from the other ,
"Other let her finish," the figure stated
Art glanced at him when he felt Shai's hand tighten on hers to the point her nails diggied in, Art saw the worried look on Shais face her breaths still ragged but her grip is still stong. Maybe better then before, Art soften feeling the eyes of the table over them, she touched Shais vines that glowed at Arts touch,
"Shai you became a god, through Dalos," Art admitted watching Shai hopeing she would understand, her soul knew Shai would, her heart knew beyond a certainty Shai would pull throught, she would hold her own again even in her state of mind, Shai looked at Art taken back she lean in her chair, startled. Her hand grip lessened on Art and her voice barley noticable asking.
"A god?"
Art nods her hand tightened on Shai's feeling her went limp,
"Yes Shai, hes a god and with him he used to be your wepoan, his power he let you use, it stayed with you into the spell it mixed with you, it made you one of us, but also made you a figure," Art spoke softy
Shai observed her body, the glow from her vines sent unsettling chills down her body, her eyes caused an obscene glow on the marble table that would make her flinch some time before. Her hair moved infront of her face and Shai saw the gold glow from her hair, watching it curl from the breath of Quetzalcoatl breathing down on her, her own hair shined like gold. Shai let out a shaky sigh her thoughts bouncing in her head,
"Have i become like him, did me taking the wepoan set this course? Did useing that weapon using him over and over again make this real?" Shai thought,
Shai felt the gazes around her waiting for her next reaction, waiting to respond, to see how she would take the weight placed on her pressing on every word she spake, every moved she made. Shai held her head higher staring at them all with a slight lift to her lip, a gleam in her eyes they couldn't miss.
"That it?"
Shai asserted with a soft but stern tone, her eyes drift arnound her catching each of them, she felt the pressure on her the weight from it could make someone less experienced waver, but Shai just stared back at Art a raised brow and sarcastic quip,
"You made it sound like i was going to die. That my body would give out on me before my soul would, you're not wrong, but i didnt want to leave. I couldn't."
A large thud came from the end of the table. Shai looked ther finding one blue hue glowing at her anelizing her, trying to find her true intentions. Odin leaned closer, his eyes shone greatly.
"Why is that. To be so persistent even when you were faced with death?"
Shai froze for a moment, her hand showed light trembling, she stopped it her face squinted for a moment, her lips stretched with a painful smile, her hues dimmed slightly before erupting with the slightest thought.
"Becasue i have unfinished business here. I have this weight placed on me i cant let you…all face it without me. I cant imagine me leaving with Art having to hadel what i left behind, i dont want to think of Eurus would do when he heard i wansnt here, i dont know what Judy will do…cry maybe…b…but my father, would be crushed," Shai exhorted.
Shai felt a burn from her vines like it agreed with her soul, with her inner dreads, Shai peered at Art when she felt her body…much like her soul tremble with the thought,
"I didn't leave them because I can't imagine a place without them, " Shai stated. They could hear how her voice shook through each word, her gaze watering as she continued staring at Odin,
"I stayed because I couldn't imagine what a world would be if i didnt make it. Leaving them in the dark, I couldn't do that,,,"
Shai let out a chuckle, wiping a tear that was falling from her cheek, She then beamed a coy smile,
"Not to sound like I'm some kind of god right, not an ego trip, im just saying…"
"You're fine, Shai," Odin insisted. He sat tall, his hand moved, making his spear appear, and he hummed at her. His eye gleamed, he saw it now what lead this path for her. That took her to them made her stay alive by the sheer thought of leaving the people she held close. It was amenable, even admirable,
"You have said enough, but you must now understand you are like us, that takes more then it lets on,"
Odin told her his staff shined as he tapped it onto the ground making the map glow gathering the eyes back onto the table, He glanced at Shai and Art and saw Art holding onto Shai's hand once again scanning over her vines reeking of power,
"You not wrong to set our sight on the biger threat. Shai the reson Art told you if for anothor spell," Zeus said
"A spell again? Whats the meaning for it now?" Shai inqiuered
"What happened with the spell that kept you here made you have Dalos power in you, Art has thought of you making a similar spell to the mirror trap Dalos made, that you helped break." Zeus explained
Shai turned to him with her eyes squinted confused, a hush whisper came from her dried lips,
"You want to make that spell again?"
"Not quite…a new one like his but for protection."
Zeus said he nudged Hera giving her a glance, she huffed glaring at him opening her hand the map changed morphing into the worlds, the earth was one but it showed the other universes through the portals. It glowed white then it spreads into other colors.
"This is what we aim to protect" Hera proclaimed
Shai surveyed the map. How it glowed and recalled what they said, she moved her hand with he pointer finger touching earth,
"Protect? You're implying that trap could protect a world?" Shai asked
Hera stared at Shai thoughtful before she smirked knowingly.
"Only a world. Your thinking to small Shai, no we are thinking all of them,"
