When Shang Dubai saw that he scoffed and thought 'useless', then ran up to Ling Tian and punched him at full power, but he was also too weak as he was 2 levels below Ling Tian, so he could easily dodge the punch, and counter-attacked with a punch to the stomach, as it was much too fast for Shang Dubai he was sent flying back 5 meters.
Shang Dubai could easily tell that Ling Tian was at a higher level than he was, so he quickly said "Do you you want to offend a core elder of the Divine Lotus Sect?", he snickered inwardly as Ling Tian paused.
"I've never even heard of that sect" which technically wasn't a lie as only his former body had heard of it, and it was a pretty powerful sect, but Ling Tian didn't care.

Shang Dubai couldn't do anything but grit his teeth and give him the storage ring.
While Ling Tian was walking away he felt as if he was getting death stares from behind, but when he turned around, Shang Dubai was all smiles.

The auction was happening that day too. Ling Tian got a VIP pass from the lady too so he just sat in silence waiting for it to begin. Before long, the auction started, and a young lady with prominent features came onto the stage.
As she gazed across the audience, she proclaimed, "The Heavens Gate auction shall now commence!"
