Chapter 4 - A visit by the name of the old days.

After a few seconds of looking at each other, the woman who welcomed Cyro ended up tapping an pot on the kitchen sink, drawing Cyro and Blaire's attention.

- Cyro, go to you room, change your clothes and go back! - The woman speaks in a slightly aggressive tone, making Blaire just laugh.

- Hey! Leave the boy. He is only surprised to see a woman who is not related to him at his house. You know, boys on his age ... - Speaking in an ironic tone, Blaire speaks calmly, causing Cyro to interrupt her.

- Blaire, calm down. Because if you encourage me, you will be mad at me. - Cyro speaks in a calm tone, but ends up making Blaire awkward.

- F-FORGET WHAT I SAID! GO UP, CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES AND GET DOWN! - Blaire speaks with an aggressive tone, but showing an expression of shame, making Cyro laugh.

After that, Cyro goes up the stairs to his house and goes to his room. Inside, he ends up changing clothes and before going downstairs, he looks at a small blue bracelet on a table that seems to be his study place for a few seconds, but ends up shaking his head and leaves his room.

Down the stairs, Cyro heads towards the kitchen, where Blaire is having a cup of coffee and the other woman ends up sitting on a chair, catching her breath.

- So ... - Cyro ends up calling Blaire's attention, who turns her gaze to him. - Why did you come here?

- Wow. Can't I even come here to visit you two for wanting? - Blaire speaks with a tone of sarcasm.

- You can, but it is just that today, you have come here because of something. - Cyro speaks in a calm tone, remembering the fight between Corrupted and Blaire earlier in the day.

- Just today? Blaire, what did he do? - The woman ends up asking Blaire while pointing at Cyro.

- He didn't do anything. Well, at least, nothing yet. - Blaire speaks in a suggestive tone and drinks some more coffee, making the woman more curious and furious at the same time.

- Hey. Why are you looking at me like that? She just said I did nothing, as usual. - Cyro speaks in a light tone of concern.

The woman just sighs, and changes her expression, placing her right hand on her face.

- That's what worries me. My brother does nothing, but when that blue pen comes here, I am already in doubt if he is doing anything at all. - The woman ends up speaking in an ironic tone while ending up revealing to be Cyro's sister.

- Who do you think is calling the blue pen, flat stick? - Blaire starts talking in a slightly aggressive tone to Cyro's sister, who ends up taking a pot from the sink.

- How is it, you walking blue whale? - Cyro's sister ends up cursing Blaire, who looks angry, leaving the atmosphere of the conversation very intense.

- Blue whale is yours ...

Before Blaire swears, Cyro ends up grabbing the back of Blaire's neck, which makes her shake all over and ends up moving away from Cyro, covering her neck, turning red. Cyro's sister ends up holding back a laugh, realizing that Cyro has picked up on Blaire's weakness.

- D-DON'T D-DO T-THAT! - Blaire ends up yelling at Cyro, pointing his finger at him, showing he's shaking.

- Just so you can settle down. - Cyro speaks in a calm tone, while opening a cabinet door in the kitchen, looking for something.

Blaire ends up catching his breath, while Cyro finds a cookie and sits down at the table.

After a few minutes, Blaire ends up sitting at the table again, as does Cyro's sister who also starts drinking coffee. Both begin to talk in a relaxed way, showing that even in certain situations, the three get along well.

- I heard that the Blue Guard will open a base of operations here in Yamura. - Cyro's sister ends up talking, drawing Blaire and Cyro's attention.

- Humrum. They will open this Saturday near the Shion mall. - Blaire ends up responding with a tone of excitement.

- Near the mall? Don't you think it's a little far from the Corrupted attack areas? - Cyro asks with a tone of curiosity.

- The Blue Guard had been programming this base for a few months now and they only found that place available after there was an explosion because of a Corrupted. It's not like we're looking for more strategic locations, but the advisers found that place to be great. Like, symbolizing pacification with a Blue Guard base after something caused by a Corrupted. - Blaire ends up explaining it in a simple way.

- It seems too forced. - Cyro's sister speaks in a mocking tone.

- I hate to agree, but she's right. - Cyro ends up agreeing with his sister .

- Well, you know what that Counsil is. Old people who only think in the right moments. - Blaire speaks with a tone of disappointment .

- But what's new there? A bunch of newcomers to the Academy at a very intense point of Corruption? I don't think it will work well. - Cyro speaks with a tone of concern.

- So, the news is that I'm going to work in that region now. - Blaire speaks in a cheerful tone, leaving Cyro and his sister surprised.

- Wait... What?! - Cyro's sister ends up speaking in a very surprised tone.

- I offered to coordinate operations here in the region, in addition to training newbies and other members of the Blue Guard who were transferred here. - Blaire explains in a calm tone.

- Really, Blaire? Like, you live there near the entrance to the neighboring region. Why come here? - Cyro asks in an agitated tone, different from his usual.

- Look, the region of Yamura is going through some very complicated moments because of the increasing number of attacks by Corrupteds. I thought that someone like me, one of the most experienced Gachas of the Blue Guard being here will give a little more security. - Blaire speaks in a cheerful tone, which leaves Cyro's sister with an expression of acceptance.

- Makes sense. But as far as I know, even with your motorcycle, it takes almost 1 hour to get there from your house to here. - Cyro's sister ends up speaking with a tone of confusion.

- Like, are you going to live in some accommodation that the Blue Guard is going to build around here? -Cyro asks in a calm tone.

- Yeah ... - Blaire ends up speaking in a strange tone.

Blaire ends up getting up from his chair, smiling and crossing his hands, trying to make a cute pose, looking at Cyro and his sister.

- You're going to ask to live here with us, aren't you? - Cyro ends up asking in a neutral tone, but showing a clear expression of "I knew".

- For that reason I adore you, Cyro ~~

- Blaire, you're kidding, right? - Cyro ends up speaking with a tone of confusion.

- If I were kidding, I think I wouldn't be standing here doing a pose that is trying to make me die of shame. - Blaire speaks in a mocking tone.

Cyro and his sister are still embarrassed to talk to Blaire. Blaire is known for being a Gacha well known by many regions, especially in the Blue Control regions, covering many cities where the Blue Guard has influence, besides being one of the few Gachas that had direct contact with the Legendary Gacha Summoner many years ago assisting you on your journey. That would be enough to be surprised by such a simple request from her.

- As I think one of the two will say no, I can fix the house when I can, I can shop when I can and I can still pay some expenses when I can. Besides, it's not like I'm going to be here all the time. It will only be when I go to rest or get away from the Council's bullshit. - Blaire speaks in an apprehensive tone, hoping that they will let her live in the house.

- Blaire, don't get me wrong, but the last time we let you spend a night here, you almost set the house on fire. - Cyro's sister speaks with a tone of concern.

- In my defense, I didn't know I had a problem with the stove. And that's been two years. It doesn't mean that I'm going to do that again. - Blaire responds with a nervous tone, while doing a misunderstood pose.

- Another thing. There is only one bathroom in the whole house. Imagine if for some of your stupidity, Cyro saw you by ... - Before completing the sentence, Cyro and Blaire end up giving a slight shake and end up turning red.

- W-Well, y-you have a point ... I can help to pay to make another b-bathroom ... - Blaire speaks in a strange tone, looking at Cyro and his sister.

- Hey ... - Cyro's sister ends up looking suspiciously at Blaire and Cyro, noticing the strangeness in their way

- Look, sis ... I think ... - Cyro tries to talk and change the subject, but his sister ends up looking with a serious tone.

- II pay all food expenses without complaining! - Blaire tries to do the same, even with Cyro's sister not changing her look, but ends up sighing.

- Blaire, even if you pay all the expenses of the house, there is one thing that worries me ... actually, two things. - Cyro's sister ends up speaking in a neutral tone, which leaves Blaire confused.

- Two?

- The first is Cyro. It doesn't give me much comfort to know that an older woman other than me lives in the same house as him. Even though you are. - Cyro's sister speaks in a mocking tone.

- What? - Cyro thinks in a confused way.

- The three of us have lived together for a while. Just because 2 year has passed, doesn't mean that there will be something different. - Blaire replies.

- That's where you're wrong. Why this notion of time is the second thing. Things are no longer the same. I thought you would understand better than me. - Cyro's sister speaks in a serious tone.

A silence ends up taking over the table. Even though Blaire wanted to insist, she knew that this second thing was crucial.

- But ...

- Samy, do you mind if Blaire and I talk alone? - Cyro ends up interrupting his sister, calling her by her name.

- Cyro, I don't think ...

Before saying anything, Samy ends up noticing Cyro's look that was different. A serious look and a neutral expression. Even though it is something simple and normal coming from Cyro, Samy realizes that it was not a simple glance from his brother, knowing what he already lived.

Samy just sighs, picks up his coffee cup and takes it to the sink, where he stands looking out a window.

- Go to the greenhouse ... - Samy just says, without looking at Cyro or Blaire.

Cyro ends up gesturing for Blaire to go up to the greenhouse. Even confused by Samy's attitude, Blaire heads towards the stairs and starts to climb. Cyro gets up from his chair and also goes towards the stairs, without turning or going to his sister.

...

Upon reaching the greenhouse, Cyro looks around. The greenhouse is a little wide, with a few pots with plants on top of some tables, leaning against a wall or on the protection bars, in addition to having a small area covered with a glass roof.

- Do you remember when we were on the first day we started?

Blaire ends up leaning on a protective grid near the edge of the greenhouse.

- I was sore from so much physical exercise that you told me to do it.

- You said I didn't need to go easy on you.

- But for a first day as your apprentice, I thought it was something like "Show what you are capable of" or something like that.

- Skinny as you were, I think a lot was not possible, is it?

- Hmph ...

Cyro goes towards one of the tables that were close to Blaire and sits on top, while Blaire turns around, goes towards the table and sits next to Cyro.

- But now ... You see the difference since then. - Blaire speaks in a light tone, while nudging Cyro's right arm.

- Okay, enough.

- Hehe ~~

A silence hangs in the air until ...

- How was your day in the school?

- Hehe. Seriously, the first thing that comes to mind is this?

- I don't want to seem to the point. You know, old habits don't go away.

- I understand...

*silence

- It was normal. I arrived at school a few minutes after you defeated that Corrupted. There was only formal presentation and free time for new staff who entered the school. Nothing more.

- How nice. - Blaire replies with a slight smile.

- And how was it at work?

- It was normal. After the Corrupted's attack took place, I stayed at the Base in Yoshimura and I was selecting the newcomers who will go to the Base here in Yamura on Saturday.

- Nice...

Even though both try their best to talk about what they really want to talk about, Cyro and Blaire are slightly apprehensive about who is going to talk first.

...

- Samantha is afraid that I will try to convince her to you return to being an Summoner, right?

- I wouldn't say fear. It is more concern. You know how she looked when I started training with you.

- I remember her screaming at you when I rested my head on your shoulder.

- And then you hit me, you were so red.

- Hey, I did those things in the heat of the moment. Not that I liked to do that.

- You will play Tsundere with myself when ...

- Do you want to be pinched in the belly?

- No, please.

- Hehe ~~

...

- Do you miss that time?

Cyro is slightly uncomfortable with the question.

- Being sincere ... Yes. But not because of the adventure and everything. . Let's say that things are not ... on track for me.

- Because? - Blaire asks curiously.

- Do you know when you do something for a while and when you stop, you wonder if there will be something that can occupy your mind?

- I know the feeling.

- Yeah. I thought I got it but ... I don't think it's enough.

- Samy told me you joined the school's athletic club. Like, not offending you, but speed is something I wouldn't have imagined for you.

- I thought that too, but it was worth the try. It helps me to think more about things and to process information better.

At that moment, Blaire just gave a light laugh.

- Well, it is normal that people like us will never get used to a sudden peace or the search for something calmer. You know, I've met many members of the Blue Guard who have retired and some of them have remained in the security business just to be ready for action, even if it takes a long time.

- If that's what you're thinking, that's not what is making me uneasy. It's nice to be in a calm and quiet environment and it calms me down a lot, but that doesn't stop the world from doing something.

Blaire looks at Cyro with a slightly concerned look.

- Did something happen at school today?

Before saying anything, Cyro ends up making a small grunt.

- More or less...

Cyro just turns his gaze to the balcony.

...

- You don't want to go back. I know that. And I will not pressure you. But ... If that decision of yours is leaving you like this, why do you insist on it?

Blaire speaks calmly, but leaves Cyro slightly apprehensive, tapping his feet lightly on the floor.

- Because if people need help when they need to avoid greater misfortunes, it is better that they try for themselves. They don't need heroes to fix their mistakes. They just need to have common sense. And if they think that is not possible, I will make them think so.

Blaire just turns his gaze seriously on Cyro, who doesn't even look at her, keeping his gaze towards the balcony.

...

- About you living here ... I have no problem. It's like Samantha said ... Things are not the same with 2 years ago. But that does not mean that we should not try.

Blaire just smiles.

- You could have said that down there.

- Blaire ... If I don't know you, we would end up being alone somewhere in the house with you looking red, hitting me and pretending that it's my fault. And so far, only the first thing has happened until now.

- Hehe ~~ Not always., Cyro.

Cyro gets up from the table and starts to stretch his arms.

-Anyway, your turn to convince Samantha. I'll just be watching.

- Okay, you lazy.

- Ok, beauty~~

- Good play, but it won't provoke me.

- And who said I'm teasing you? You are always beautiful, Blaire.

At that moment, Blaire turns slightly red, holding on to not say anything. After a few seconds, Blaire also gets up and goes down the stairs with Cyro.

...

Downstairs, Blaire ends up talking to Samantha about living in the house with her and Cyro, which makes Samantha slightly nervous because she knows that Blaire and her brother are going to be close again. And even reluctantly, Samantha ends up allowing ...

After a few minutes, Blaire leaves the house, takes his bike and leaves. Cyro stands outside, watching the way Blaire took to leave. And while looking at the path ...

- (thinking) You must be right, Blaire ...
