"I-It's kind of hot in here..." Zeirenne said while fanning herself.
"R-right. Should we step out?"
She nodded.
With Jin's help, they both walked out her room and settled on the outdoor garden. They both sat on the bench and inhaled the fresh air. They needed all the oxygen they could get—or else they would end up suffocating from their emotions.
"So... you're not mad at me?" Zeirenne said, "I mean... I would understand it if you are..."
Jin shook his head. "How can I get mad at you," he turned his head to face her, "I was already too mad at myself."
Zeirenne furrowed her eyebrows. Hearing him say those words made her guilt grow. She was expecting him to retaliate and argue with her, just like how their normal conversation goes. She hoped that their usual aggressive conversation would lighten up the awkwardness they were both feeling. Like if they just shift back into their usual selves, everything would go back to normal as if nothing happened.
