He turned to face her, she was still looking at the fire. "You saw it, didn't you? And you hated it. You hated seeing me getting mobbed. But he saw worse. He sewed a flesh wound in my arm, and tended the ankle I twisted. He saw everything, and I know his thoughts."
"So does this mean you're not mad at him?"
"Hmm... I'm rather sad. We were supposed to finish this fight together but now he wants me to bail up like damsel in distress. I don't need a knight in the shining armor, I need a partner-in-crime." She faced Dylan. "Since you already chose him over me once, it's my turn spare you some trouble this time, isn't it?"
