Once, there was the Red Phoenix. It had suffered for an eternity, but the time had come to eradicate the pain. The Red Phoenix sought to destroy its agony with love, until that very love destroyed it in turn.

Once, there was a little girl. She never knew what she was, but she was destined to find out. She shattered her ignorance with another world, until that world shattered her.

A God loved a lost red-haired girl. A demon loved a Goddess who claimed she wasn’t lost, even as she wandered. But love was not the solution to everything. For He enjoyed testing great loves with chaos. There had to be war. Bodies were meant to be slick with blood and sweat. Hearts were destined to break. Because He knew that hands accustomed to holding roses would suffer gravely when forced to hold a sword.

"The Red Phoenix has risen; the Black Phoenix shall fall. I offer you two loves: one to glorify, the other to humiliate. You will play your part, yet you will never know. You won’t know that the love you insulted fought for people like you. You won’t know the girl who fought and lost that love. None of you will ever know the girl stabbed by the very love she felt. But they will know. And they will regret releasing the beast."

"Today I will show you people who have committed the seven major sins over and over and are imprisoned in Hell. I will tell you how sins got into their minds and how their eyes were painted," he paused and suddenly grinned. He was an annoying man. "Be careful, don't fall into one of the pits. I can't deal with you."


"I'm not afraid of getting burned," I said calmly. "If I'm going to burn, I'm ready to burn."
