The world remembers the Grim War a sone of the bloodiest and most devastating supernatural conflicts in recorded history. But few remember how it truly began—not with swords or armies, but with a twisted ambition conceived in the shadows.
It started with the former members of the Witch Coven, the leaders of each faction of the witches, consisted of Mages, Talents, and Casters. The leaders of each group where in one mind of creating something sinister, along with their Coven Queen. They believed that the natural balance of power among races—shifters, merfolks, faeries, elves, dwarves, vampires, humans and witches—was flawed. The other races had formed accords, understood their place, and maintained fragile peace. But the factions within the Coven wanted more. Not peace, not balance. They wanted dominance.
To achieve that, they needed something unnatural. Something that would put off the balance in every group. A hybrid.
