All the attention turned to him. Many were about to open their mouths, especially Aradria, who stared menacingly at him, but he held up a hand to not interrupt his next words. His eyes never left the Coven Queen's turquoise eyes. It was the color of the deeper part of the ocean.
"But as you said, Queen Aradria, you don't do those kinds of tricks." The gaze she was throwing at him was full of daggers. And there was an inkling inside him that wanted to believe that witches could really kill just by a stare. She had the look of a mean school professor that would punish her student even just for the slightest mistake. "I'm not insinuating anything." He raised his arms in surrender. "I was just merely stating a thought."
Aradria was ready to open her mouth when she got interrupted again.
"You may have not done it yourself, Your Coven Majesty." The fae added more fuel into the fire. Just what she needed. "But what about your subjects? Do you have control in all of them?"
