In the beginning when man was new and sin did not exist, there was an angel that lived in the secret garden of Eden. Along with this angel was Adam and Eve. This particular angels name was Innocence, her wings were of the purest whites with tints of gold that would shine bright with the sun. Her halo a gold that can only be compared to that of sunrise in that secret garden. The span of her elegant wings was an incredible fourteen feet, this is a small span for an angel her age. Her gown glistened with grace from the Heavenly Father, it was given special attributes that most angels have never seen, this gown shines brighter at mid day and dusk which is uncommon most angel gowns shine brighter in the morning all the way to mid day. Her face was flawless with sharp cheek bones and light rosy cheeks, she has petite and sculpted right out of the air in heaven with a dash of perfection. Her personality was more graceful than her looks. This angels power was infinite wisdom on every piece of life on Earth. When Innocence looks into the eyes of someone or something she can see it's soul and help guid it to better and brighter things. This power however is not equal to that of the Father, he still holds the power to guide the soul to Heaven.
Her story begins with the creation of the Garden of Eden, she is younger guiding the two young adults Adam and Eve through their journey in the garden. She teaches them what they can and cannot eat and touch in the garden, and how to tend to the garden properly so that it may thrive for years to come. After five years of teaching and guiding the two of them Innocence notices a new animal in the garden she had not seen yet, but some how knows every detail about it.
"This is a strange new creature, how did it get in here?" Innocence thought to herself.
The serpent turned and looked at her hissed and tried to speed off "halt serpent! You will tell me how got here and why you are here." Innocence said with command in her voice.
The serpent stopped dead and then a cloud of thick black smoke appeared around and grew up into the sky and then a figure stepped out of the smoke. What Innocence saw next she would have never believed if she hadn't been seeing it with her own eyes. Lucifer took another step into the light and asked "What is your name angel?"
As he spat the last word she knew something was off. She replied "My name is Innocence and I protect the garden and all who dwell in it."
Lucifer looked at her with a crooked smile and spat "Well I guess we are going to have problems then aren't we"
As that was said he stepped closer exposing his pitch black wings that smoked and shined like a fresh oil spill. She tried to step back but stumbled over a rock and fell down. She noticed that some of the plants had died and become brown and the ground had become cold. As she picked herself up she was met halfway with an obsidian dagger straight into her chest where her heart was, the force the dagger hit her with sent her back toward the ground. Lucifer laughed manically at her pain and said "If you know so much then you should just stay down and not speak!"
She did for a moment, but every fiber of her being told her to get up and fight off the threat at hand and also warn Adam and Eve. As she tried to get up she saw golden glitter where she had been lying on the ground, Innocence yelled for Adam who had been the closet to her " Get eve and leave the garden now get her to safety"
Adam contested this order saying " No you need help first Eve will be fine for a minute"
Innocence screamed again but not at Adam but in pain her last words to Adam were " Get out of here and save Eve make sure you get to her before the serpent does."
As her last words were spoken her eyes closed and her body disappeared. Adam ran as fast as he could toward Eve only to see her eating the forbidden fruit and a serpent talking to her. A moment later the ground tumbled and God spoke "You have broken the rules Eve and you shall be punished, you and Adam shall be removed from Eden, you and your children shall be scattered across the land never to see each other again."
Eve broke down to her knees and started to cry as her children were taken one-by-one and scattered.
Innocence awoke with fear in her heart that she could not save them, and then noticed she had awoke in a world filled with nothing. She flew around this strange place calling out to see if anyone else was around, but no replies. It was so quite that you could hear a pin drop. With a sudden flash God appeared before her with sadness and anger in his eyes. With a soft voice he asked " What happened to you in the garden, why did Eve disobey and eat the fruit?"
She replied " You must have seen it father the serpent in the garden, Lucifer, I mean you are all knowing and seeing, so why ask me?"
God chuckled and said "Yes you are right my daughter."
She looked back at him with tears in her infinite eyes. God looked at her asked "What is wrong Innocence?"
"I failed you, I could not protect the garden of the two caretakers you placed you in it." She replied with her head hanging low, " It will be okay, remember this is all part of your destiny to help with the future care of the Humans on Earth."
She looked up to him with hope in her eyes and a heart full of joy she said, "What is my new task Father?"
God smiled and replied" I want you to be my angel of death, I want you to care for the souls of the humans that die. Your job is to either bring the soul to my domain or leave it stranded for Lucifer to pick off." Innocence showed a lot of different emotions her main one being confused, but before she could even ask God spoke again, "Remember your gift, every time you look into someone's eyes you see their soul and all that they have done, your heart will tell you the rest."
It clicked in her head that this was her ultimate destiny, the signs were the from the beginning. "Now is time for the difficult part Innocence, I'm going to need your halo. And the color of your wings are now translucent you must pick a new color for them along with your gown" God said with a professional tone.
Her wings began to take on a black color with a red ancient angelic scripture written all over her wings and her gown turned into a cloak with several shades of black in it. The long hood on the cloak conceals her face the only feature seen the thru the black depth is her crystal blue eyes that almost looked of ice.
She reappeared in Heaven and waited for her first soul to guide as death. Eighty years went by on Earth and Innocence went forth to collect her first soul, she recognized this soul and new it was a good one, she called out to her old friend Eve and embraced her. She escorted Eve to Heaven, Eve said, " Thank you Innocence, I'm sorry about the garden."
Innocence looked at Eve and replied, " I haven't been called that in years, my name changed when I was reborn into this role, my new name is Innocence Lost, or Angel of Death."
Eve with a heavy heart bid her old friend good-bye as she entered the gates of Heaven.
Innocence Lost completed her first task successfully and has been doing this continuously she has not aged or changed her appearance since being reborn into her new role and has not questioned her to decision to continue.
