Chapter 157 - Chapter 156 In motion

"An angel on your shoulder that wasn't Sandel?"

Damien asked and peered over Avalon's shoulder seeing the black strings around her shoulder, the faint cresses in her jacket that wasn't made before, Damien then heard Ally beside him asking while her hand tightened around his,

"Which one was it?"

"It wasn't Lughs his is pure white a dove." Damien cut in his crimson gaze catching Ally's gaze his hand pounding from how tight Ally's grip is. Ally kept her gaze

"It was the angel of Bal Formoir, the angel of control and manipulation, known for tricking his enemy into his own hands. It was disturbing to say the least. He would have his way with them getting into the mind of the first person that intrigued them...no one has ever said no to him,"

Sandel interjected her sentient flame moving across the table to Avalon her flame burned the table. Sandel stopped before Avalon hand seeing how it flinched when she drew near to her, Sandel heard a shake breath come out of Avalon,

"You told him no Avalon?"

Avalon moved her hand from her head staring down at the sentient flame her silver gaze having faint anger in it, Avalon moved her hand to Sandel leet her hot flames warm her hands, Avalon smiled faintly uttering,

"Yes I told him no in a worse terms, he was stunned i thought he would be angry but no he was more intrigued,"

Avalon moved her fingers cradling the small flames around Sandel, she waited for Sandel to say something seeing her flame flickering over her fingers, Sandel was thinking about the way her flames were responding to her,

"He gets that way when he anticipates his puppet's actions their thoughts picking them apart until they agree but Avalon you didn't let him, i saw you tried the best you could against him, talking calmly until he pressed a hot nerve, that is when you showed him something he didn't anticipate, a piece of my power hidden in you,"

Avalon's eyes squinted slightly confused she didn't know what Sandel meant by that, she was pissed at Formoir talking shit about Sandel but a piece of Sandel that showed in her wasn't new or unheard of, but why bring that up here? Sandel moved to Avalon's fingers moving up her hand like she was holding Avalon's hand, the table went quiet watching them talk,

"I'm not sure why it stopped him or even intrigued him, whatever you have done caused him to halt his advances..."

Sandel got to her shoulder her voice soft filled with concern, "I think he saw how connected you are to me,"

Avalon turned slightly to her eyes lying still on her flame, "This isn't new Sandel I'm already connected to you, my powers are yours so what caused him to act the way he did?"

"He acted that way because he's never seen a connection this strong before,"

Avalon froze for a "You and I Avalon have never been apart i was always with you dormant in your soul only appearing when you needed my intervention, but over time I think my ability seeped into you. It's taken to you in a way I haven't seen in all my lifetime,"

Sandel at the end softly spoke her words like a brushing wind to Avalon's worried nerves. Her flames soothed her softly, Avalon leaned back staring at her bewildered but still perdictibal for her life,

"Seeped into me...your powers seeped into me Sandel is that what you said?"

"I did, i know it not the wise way to put it but its what has occurred, im in your soul since you were thought of...he and i thought it would be safer that way i would be hidden in a human his child and protect them, its my duty to protect you..and others, i didnt antisapte this Avalon you're taking my powers as my own it was something I've never thought of,"

"If you were in my soul this whole time why didn't you show yourself sooner in my other time i need help why didn't you come out like this in your flame and talk to me?"

Avalon asked more troubled, her hand a fist as she stared at Sandel asking for clues for so long she had to wait to get just an answer, to find out there's more. Sandel curled around Avalon's shoulder, feeling the eyes of the whole table on her she held close to Avalon's neck her sentence bounced off the wall and made the whole room feel somber.

"Because something you have to face on your own without me. I might be your angel Avalon but I couldn't stop what would happen to you, i just had you see me in small ways, not knowing it was me...but it was really you. Your will. That fortitude to fight when you couldn't think of another way. I couldn't be there for you all the time because it had to be you...not me to face it in your stead,"

The room felt a shift, one that made their bodies tense. Their breaths hitched in anticipation of the two, Avalon looked at Sandel with a slight squint, her wary stare made her flame shiver shaking around her, when Avalon sighed leaning back,

"Sandel, I had to face it alone before I had to face it with you?"

Sandel thought Avalon would be frustrated but no she sounded more considerate...her stare was soft resilient, Sandel moved closer to Avalon her voice an unbelievable whisper,

"Yes...that is what I mean Avalon,"

Avalon nodded she felt the eyes on her and Sandel and turned her silver gaze to the table, Avalon smiled softly as she waved her hand motioning them not to worry, when she was stopped by Ally her blue hues on Sandel, she moved her hand pointing to Sandel softly,

"You're saying she's had you in her soul...this whole time taking your powers like a pill, and you decided to lay this on us just now,"

"Yes, I did,"

Ally leaned back in her chair while Damien pats her hand, he glanced at Ally soft jovial,

"Well, that's one way to put it Ally an angel sent from above a mere pill for Avalon to take, that's a comparison I wouldn't make,"

"It might not be one you would make, but it's what happened. She's taken my power my ability as my own, and she made it known to Formoir...it was more than just his host power..to him, it was an early indication. He had a worse enemy than he perceived one that won't be pupeted by him nor any of the other angels, that is why I'm worried,"

Sandel moved around Avalon's shoulder peering at Salvatore her flames flickering ever so slightly, "Salvatore on Bal...Avalon will be put back from this, correct?"

Salvatore looked up from his hand seeing Sandel staring at him, he glanced at Avalon seeing her fatigued. Her hand cradling the small delicate flame that Sandel is, Salvatore listened to them, he knew of Avalon's weird powers but it being from Sandel isn't hard to stretch.

"That's the plan,"

"I realize now that we might need her close not involved but watching in case she needs to be involved. I know she needs time to rest, but Bal won't stop will he for her to rest, neither will the other angels, we must at least try to intervene or..let them through,"

Salvatore said the table shift for other than him Avalon and Damian, the room stiffened as all eyes went to Sandel and Avalon, Sandel looked to Avalon catching her gaze, Avalon gave her a soothing smile as she told them,

"From what I'm hearing we watch them and listen to them, from where we stand now we have the government now looking into this...again with Formoir hidden in our midst until he was found out to be on my shoulder,"

Avalon looked over the table seeing Luke and Liz looking over the hologram they pointed out the road and the places where they would be to watch while Jacob Damien, Ally, and Salvatore. Avalon smirked and motioned to the hologram,

"If we can all agree we lay back let them finish their deal and keep the FBI agents at arm's length, but whatever is next is worse than this...worse than these dons, not their angels not even Peter,"

Salvatore stared at her bewildered, his arms fell from the desk as he asked "Then we agree on letting the deal finish and let it play out from a distance while keeping the FBI from finding out about the angels, of you Avalon,"

He peered over the table as he caught the eyes of all around him, His gaze squinted as he spoke,

"Who else agrees? After what they have heard?"

Damien glanced at Ally. He nodded, and Ally agreed. Thereafter, Salvatore went to Luke who stopped talking with Liz he looked over the map before Avalon and Sandel,

"It seems we are out of options, yes, I agree with you,"

Throughout the room, they agreed, and the plan is now set in motion. Avalon leans into Sandel her listening to the table as the get up and leave.
