After talking with Lance, Axel sat on his chair and was lost in thought. The school was finally coming along. His first student!!
Axel had the perfect gift for the kid. The gift would not only surprise the kid and make others jealous, but the world would also know why his school was special.
"Hehe, it is going to be fun.", mumbled Axel with a smile on his face.
###
A few days have passed, and the tide battle passed in a usual way. Each day, Fairy Tail members would be facing 2-5 king-rank Pokemon. The commanders and the captains were enough to handle such a threat.
Axel, being the leader and the commander of the south zone, was feeling bored instead of being busy. He could not be blamed for it. Commanders were handling the tide battles, and Ashimta and Dory were doing reports and communication.
His routine was now quite simple. It was just to wake up, go to his office to see yesterday's report, comment on it, and wait for any emergencies.
So, what would anyone do if they were bored with nothing productive to do?
"Hey Agnes, how is the new school? How are the teachers… Of course, you will not get any gift even though you are the first student."
"Red, it's been a long time. How is Ash? Isn't he 2 years old now?"
"Blue, my man!!! How is the exploration team? I must say, you lost a gem when Krishna joined my team."
"Garry, how are you handling now? What? 3,210 deaths today? I had zero deaths. Sigh, what can I say, my team members are like AZ, refusing to die."
The whole day was spent on calling whoever he knew. Garry was so furious from Axel's call that he threw and broke the phone. The mayor had to replace it.
"Since I am so free right now, I think it is time to talk to Butterfree.", mumbled Axel.
Butterfree was healed and put in a sleep state because Axel didn't want any ruckus during the tide battle.
He went to the hospital to see Butterfree.
###
"Mr. Axel, please come in. What can I do for you today?"
Even though there was a line of customers with their Pokemon, Axel was given a priority. He was the commander of the south zone after all.
"Yes, I want you to wake up Butterfree."
"Sir, please come inside. I will talk to my senior about this.", said the receptionist, and Axel was led to a small room. The room had a couple of chairs and a very long sofa.
After waiting for a couple of minutes, a man arrived.
"Sir, how is it going over there?", asked the man with a smile on his face, and shook Axel's hand.
"Oh, it is going well. Don't worry about the security, doctor."
"I know I can trust you and your team. So, what brings you here? I heard that you want to wake up Butterfree."
"Yes, I need to have a conversation with it. Don't worry, I will guarantee the safety."
"Of course, please join me at the training ground number. 34. I will get everything ready."
Axel followed the doctor to the training ground, and Butterfree was brought on a stretcher.
Finally, one of the doctors wearing those white lab coats injected it with something, and after a few seconds, it woke up.
ZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Just as it woke up, it began to look around, preparing for battle, for it had been on the verge of death the last time.
"Butterfree, over here. Yes, here. You do recognize me, don't you? You lost the battle, and I decided to save you."
Butterfree spoke, "I know you didn't do it without any reason. So, what is it? What do you want from me? And what happened to my team? Did you kill all of them?"
"Hey, relax. It has already been more than a week since our battle. And about your team. We are fighting a war. You do realize that, right? But I spared those who retreated."
Butterfree knew that it was a war, and they were prepared to die. But seeing the killer of its team, families, and friends, it was having difficulty controlling its emotions. It knew it could not do anything. If it tried to attack Axel here, it would die the most horrible death.
"What do you want, human?", asked Butterfree.
Axel turned his hand into a fist and took out two fingers towards Butterfree, saying, "2 things. First of all, you will teach that healing move to my Pokemon.
Secondly, tell me why you participated in this tide battle with your friends and family."
The reason why the wild Pokemon attacked human settlements was mostly the same. Humans have been catching and killing wild Pokemon for training, for money, food, and also for fun.
This would garner hatred from the wild Pokemon, and when that wild Pokemon reach king rank level, they would gather their allies, friends, and start a tide battle to take revenge.
Yet, Axel felt that due to the corruption of Arceus, things had started to change. While dealing with this tide battle, Axel felt that something was not right. So, he wanted to get to the bottom of this.
"So, you want my move that I painfully created throughout my life, and also the reason why we are attacking you. Tell me, human, why would I do all those things? If you think that I fear death, then you are wrong. I am already going to die and I know it.", said Butterfree.
"That is where you are wrong. You won't die if you do those two things. Also, if you agree to do this, I will let you talk to your friends, telling them to stop the tide battle so that you can see them again."
"And why will I believe you? What is to say that after I did all those things, you will back up your word?"
"Do you have any other choice except to believe me? Let me tell you something. You are far weaker than you think. Also, as a sign of trust, if you tell me the reason for the tide battle, I will let you meet with your friends."
After some persuasive words, Butterfree agreed. It just wanted to save its family and friends. I knew that its family and friends would do everything to get revenge for it.
"So, what is the reason for the tide battle?"
"The reason is simple. The city has something related to ghost-type Pokemon that they need. So, they decided to launch the tide battle. I was just helping them."
"Do you take me for a fool? You want me to believe that you are ready to sacrifice so many of your brethren just because the leader of ghost-type Pokemon asked nicely?"
Axel put it in such a way that Buttefree had to speak the truth.
"Actually,.. you might not understand or even believe it, but I heard a voice telling me to fight this tide battle and help those ghost-type Pokemons."
"What? How stupid do you think I am? A voice tells you to do something, and you just follow it?"
"That is why I said that you will not understand. Unlike you humans, we respect hierarchy. The voice that told me to fight was far stronger than I, and I can feel some sort of connection with it.
Pokemon like us trust our instincts more than our brains. So, that is what I did."
Axel asked it multiple questions, twisting it in many ways, but he got the same answer. He could now tell that Buttefree was telling the truth.
Axel had many questions in his mind, but he was not getting those answers from Butterfree.
"I will keep my word. Tonight, you will tell about the coordinates of the place where you live, and my Pokemon will deliver your message to them. After that, we will meet them."
Axel was not going to their home directly. It was filled with vengeful, powerful Pokemon. He didn't want the piece of that.
Butterfree agreed, but it didn't give him the exact location of its family and friends. It was aware of a secret location where some of its friends met.
The one that was going to send the message was Alakazam. It was the perfect Pokemon for a job. It was exceptionally powerful being a pseudo-champion rank , and if something bad happened, it could just teleport out of there.
###
All of the things went smoothly. Alakazam was given the coordinates, and it went there with a message. Now, Axel could see another Butterfree coming to talk. Both Butterfree spoke for some time, and when he completed his promise, Butterfree turned and looked at him.
"I will teach your Pokemon the move that I know, but I cannot guarantee that it will learn the move."
"Oh, I know how it goes. You don't need to worry. If Beedrill cannot learn it, then it is my problem. You have taught my Pokemon this move for a month. If it cannot learn the move in a month, then you are free to go wherever you want.
By that time, the tide battle will also be over."
###
The next day,
The training of Beedrill started.
The concept of the move is straightforward. Every one of us, including the Pokemon has life energy inside us. It is what makes us alive. When we die or are killed, the life energy inside us starts to fly away.
Butterfree had trained itself to absorb those life energies and integrate them into its body. That was why it was healing so fast, because others were dying.
This was the perfect move for any tide battle. Yet, learning it was tough. First of all, the user would have to learn to absorb the energy and assimilate it into themselves, and manipulate it to heal it.
Secondly, this was the life energy of another being, which would not be compatible with the user. So, the user would have to train to manipulate that energy to their advantage.
Life energy possessed many qualities similar to those of bug-type energy. That was why it was easy for a bug-type Pokemon to manipulate it.
After a few days, Butterfree had calmed down a lot. Its remaining friends and families were safe, and now it just had to train Beedrill and leave.
So, I took the opportunity to ask.
"So, who is the leader of this tide battle?"
Every tide battle had its leader. The leader would not have the same values and principles as others, but there would always be a leader, and that Pokemon would be the strongest in a tide battle.
"Before, it was a pseudo-champion rank Mismagius. But I heard that something had happened to the tower that they were targeting. After that, Mismagius thought not to participate in this tide battle with some of its close friends and family.
Now, it is Aegislash. It is a tier 3 king rank Pokemon, and it is also powerful."
"How strong was this Mismagius?"
"Oh, it was powerful. Normally, other species of Pokemon like us don't like to associate with a ghost-type Pokemon because we cannot understand them, and they are also very creepy, but Mismagius is strong enough to rally a whole tide battle. So, you can tell how influential and powerful it is.
It has the power to make a person dream and induce hallucinations. If you were to fall into that dream, you would never wake up. It didn't tell us what it wanted from the tower but I heard that it tried to improve the power of its dream and create a separate dream realm by sucking all the lost souls."
"Damn!!! That is scary."
"Of course, it is. You guys are lucky that it is not attacking right now."
