"It's possible," admitted Kevin. "But we can't assume anything for sure. Hope we can interview Steve today," he added with a sigh.
"Why?" Jack worried. "You think you might not be able to take his statement?"
"I think he may not feel like it. You know best how stubborn he is. Despite his stubbornness, victims often refuse to talk about the attack. Especially if the victim is someone strong. They feel ashamed and humiliated that they have not been able to defend themselves. They can't stand being seen as weak. "
