Bethany hid her hands over her tired face. She had been traveling for what seemed like weeks. Most of the humans haven't paid much attention to her, but there were a select few that she kept her eye on. Riding the bus with them was the worst feeling she couldn't shake.
An older couple who kept asking her if she was hungry, which didn't bother her to much. A man who would try to sit with her, try gaining her acceptance, but yet gave her the vibe that she shouldn't trust him.
She had been on this bus with these humans for only 18 hours and had 6 more hours left. She had left Kansas City Missouri and was heading to Kootenai National Forest, where there was a pack of her kind.
She had been soo alone. Her mother the only one of her kind she knew, had been killed along with her human father. Bethany was raise in the human foster care system til she was 16 and ran away from the foster care house she was moved to.
She rested her chin on the cold metal of the window as she watched trees buzzing on by. Soon she would be meeting many of her kind and she couldn't wait. She had been stuck in this human body way to long.
She closed her eyes just for a moment, to dream of the mother she missed.
