Shinx opened his eyes and he immediately felt that he had again a right front leg.
He looked at his new leg, which looked exactly like his old leg and that didn't even have a scar, with an expression of shock.
Shinx knew from Alex that he would get a new leg today but he had extremely low expectations and Shinx doesn't expect his new leg to be that perfect. He started moving his leg to test if this was actually real and when he was able to stand on all four legs again, he couldn't help but start crying.
Alex took Shinx in his arms and said in a soft tone, "What's wrong? Is there something wrong with that leg?"
Shortly after saying that, he telepathically heard Shinx say, "Sniff, no, it's perfect."
Alex showed a happy expression upon hearing this. "That's good ."
Shinx's eyes couldn't stop crying as he started thanking Alex with all his emotion. "Sniff...Sniff...Thank you. Thank you. Thank you..."
Even without Gardevoir's ability to read emotions, Alex could feel how happy and grateful Shinx was to him.
Alex looked at Shinx who still couldn't control his emotions and he said, "You don't have to thank me. We're family."
Shinx showed a surprised expression for a moment and he replied in a puzzled tone, "But we're not connected by blood."
Alex started laughing a little as he replies, "ha ha ha! No matter who your parents are, we are a real family as long as you treat us like your family."
Shinx looked into Alex's eyes and he felt that Alex really believed those words.
He felt at that moment that Alex and the other Pokemon were truly family members and he even started seeing Alex as his father.
Shinx started crying again but this time with a smile on his face. "okay dad"
Alex gave a small smile when he heard that Shinx call him dad.
Though he's still not quite used to the fact that some of his Pokemon think of him as their father, he's still happy that those Pokemon think of him that way.
Alex looked at Shinx as he thought, 'if I collect more sons and daughters, I might start having as many sons and daughters as Whitebeard has. haha'
Professor Lonnex watched Alex and Shinx's integration with a smile. Although he couldn't understand the meaning of Shinx's sounds, he had a vague understanding of what Alex and Shinx were talking about from Alex's words.
He took a step towards Alex as he said, "Being a Psychic is really useful. I would also like to be able to understand what Pokemon are saying."
Alex smiled as he replied in a playful tone, "then you'd probably be very disappointed if you actually got the chance to hear what Pokemon think about you. Most wild Pokemon are very unfriendly to humans. Even some of my Pokemon are extremely unfriendly towards humans...even towards me ."
Professor Lonnex showed a surprised expression upon hearing this, "Really? From what I can see you should have a very good relationship with your Pokemon(s)."
Alex replied with a smile, "I'm not being serious. My relationship with all of my Pokemon(s) is very good, and only one of my Pokemon(s) is too proud to admit it."
three of Alex's Pokeballs started shaking after he said that. It looked as if three Pokemon denied what Alex had said.
Professor Lonnex saw that too and he started to laugh a little. "haha, seems like you're really right. ...even if the number of Pokemon is wrong. haha"
Alex's right eye started twitching slightly when he saw that three of his Pokemon disagree with this statement.
That "Larvitar" denied this statement was understandable to Alex because he had known him less than 1 week but that Crobat and Scizor denied his statement is really ridiculous.

For Alex, these two guards are not special strong and not really helpful if he is later in danger on this ship.
Alex also saw a man in a fine suit standing with a list in front of the ship's entrance. This man had a friendly smile plastered on his face with a professional attitude oozing out of him like its second nature to him.
There were also 2 people waiting in line in front of the ship. But each of these two people had worn expensive & elegant clothes with an indifferent expression on their faces.
Alex approached the line and slowly waited for his turn. After not even a few minutes it was Alex's turn.
Alex walked in front of the man and politely went along with the registration process. He had to give his ID card and the ship ticket before he can go on this ship. They will also check the ID card's information with their database.
After Alex had confirmed his data, he got on the deck.
This isn't the first time Alex has sailed this ship so he's not unfamiliar with what's on this ship.
It had a Pokémon arena, casino, bar, bonito pool, shop, library, salon, grooming place for Pokémon, massage parlor, writing room, places to play some outdoor and indoor games, and even a small theater.
However, without thinking about the other ship's locations, Alex immediately headed toward the Pokémon Arena to see if he could find a good opponent on this ship.
