Chapter 73 - Mamaragan

The previous announcement then the chapter beneath. And thank you all for your well wishes, felt good to see them.

I am not stopping, so do not worry.

I am going to tell you something about myself so you understand why I have done what I have.

I suffer from Trigeminal neuralgia, it is the most painful condition you can have apparently.

So some days I have very high pain and take awesome meds, which means I cannot write as I do a lot of research on this Novel.

So I started on a fun Novel, something easy as I am just basing it off the movies. That way when I am coming off the drugs I can still write, although what gets written might be weird.

So anyways, wrote one chapter and released it to see how people like it, it's called Paragon.

As the ladies looked around David headed over to the middle chair, it did not seem very comfortable as it was made of stone, it looked a lot like a Lego chair a 5-year-old made. Sitting in it he let his hand fall down to the book and gently touched it.

"Historama show me the current owner of the Rock of Eternity," David stated, as his words came to an end, he saw a view of himself appear in the air, it was very clear. He was in the chair, but the view was centered on the staff with a small gem at the top of it, seeing this David chuckled to himself.

"Bingo found you, imposter." David grinned as he grabbed the staff and spoke to the gem at the top.

Both Hela and Steph stopped to look at David with a slightly confused look on their faces.

Reach out for the staff David started to explain, "You see ladies, the so-called wizard Shazam is no wizard at all, he is a thief and a once god who was trying to get his powers back and failed.

Mamaragan is, or rather was a God of Lightning, and that was all he was. He was defeated in battle and lost almost all his divinity, but he did manage to run away with what he was trying to steal. The power of the Gods from a stronger pantheon. You read my files on him.

His pantheon had fallen, they were seven strong and he wanted to try recreating it, but he did not understand the powers he was meddling with. Think about it, which gods would just give some of their power to some wizard not knowing who it would go to and what it would be used for. And then think about Zeus giving anything to anyone accept his seed to an unwilling woman.

They could not find where he had hidden the powers he stole, so they cursed him, he would never be able to use the powers he stole. Sounded like a decent curse, but they did not know Mamaragan had a power called Power Distribution.

Mamaragan was hoping to grant others the powers yet make them subservient to him, then through time, he wanted to siphon the powers into himself. His first attempt, Teth-Adam or rather Black Adam, realized what he was doing and rebelled, he later managed to be granted powers directly by Egyptian gods.

Realizing his mistake, he then looked for someone "Honest" so they would never suspect him, and he got Billy Baston. Although his plan failed as he was unable to gain any powers and, in the end, just kept up his pretense at being the Wizard Shazam.

In this reality though, it looked like he was too weak after his battle with the Gods and has never shown himself."

David chuckled as he shook the staff, looking into the gem, "Hela, Steph, please come stand next to me."

Both ladies moved to his left and right each, it looked like Hela had an idea about the events that were about to happen as she had a slight grin.

"So, Hela, you gain a portion of the power of anyone who enters your realm, right?"

Hela smirked and answered, "Oh yes milord, I do."

"Steph, as the Mother of my pantheon I think you need a little boost, while I only want Authority of this waypoint, as it connects to many other Realities, hehe."

Hela stopped smirking and looked at David with some disbelief, his power was based on Reality and Chaos. Some things did not exist in their current Universe, the more Reality and Chaos David saw, the more he understood and stronger his divine power got.

At this point it looked like the staff, or rather the gem was trying to escape David's hand. Feeling it was getting annoying David nodded to Hela.

Hela reached into the gem and smiled, slowly she pulled something out that originally looked like a white marshmallow, then resembled an old man with a long beard.

Hela spoke as she saw the spirit try to escape, "I am Hela, Goddess of Death and Love, No God nor moral can escape me." She turned and nodded to David who poked one finger into the marshmallows head.

A few seconds later he nodded to Hela, then placed his hand on Steph's chest. Steph just gave him a slight head shake as she felt him steal a squeeze, a moment later she felt an influx of power, she almost sank to the floor if David had not wrapped his perverted hand around her, the gem on the staff shattered and the Rock of Eternity shuddered once.

David dropped the useless staff and carried Steph to the chair next to the one he sat in previously, creating cushions he let her rest as he sat in the middle chair.

Hela walked over with a grin on her face and sat next to David, "You are giving me all this power, are you not afraid I will betray you?"

David replied instantly, "No, I have no doubt about your loyalty. I strongly believe that as long as I am honest with you, I have no reason to ever doubt you."

"Well, his power actually did make me stronger, so thank you."

"That was not the power boost I was referring to when I asked you to join me here though. There is an entire realm of the dead for you to claim, and if I am correct it will allow you to claim all souls that pass away between Universes, and anything that can exist between them should not be weak."

Hela glanced to the side, she was not sure why David was helping her so much, she felt he had repaid her a long time ago and yet he was still helping her gather power, "So Steph, what has she gained?"

"A hell of a lot, originally an aspect from the power of seven Gods, Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury. I fused them all into her own power and gave her the power to bestow power. She is now a proper Mother to our Pantheon."

A mumbled voice came from the side, "Wow, you could have given a girl a warning. I think I just had my entire body rebuilt and my bra feels tighter." She said with a hint of suspicion.

David and Hela chuckled as Steph pushed herself up, her eyes were literally glowing gold with tiny bolts of lightning dancing within them.

"Do you understand the powers you have? I realize it must be a lot to work through." David asked

"Everything, I understand everything about myself. My mind is clear, and I understand how all your plans link together. I understand my physical power, my magical, and I apparently also have the power of lightning, speed, just so much power and clarity."

"So that's a yes then?" David asked with a slight grin.

"That a yes, my love," Steph said as she bit her lower lip slightly

Mentally David did a double-take, when did Steph call him anything but Hunny when she was being affectionate?

It seemed some other things might have changed as well, David decided to keep a close eye on his wife, for the time being, it never hurt to be paranoid.

"So, with the connection to the Rock established, if you ladies are ready how about we go to the Magiclands?"
