Chapter 13 - Chapter-12

After walking for a while, James reached the main library of the Smith family. It was one of the biggest libraries he had ever seen with hundreds of books on each shelf. The library reached sky high with no stairs which made James wonder how to even get up there.

What was even more amazing was that there were mops and dusters who were moving by themselves, without any assistance from a human being. None of the books had even a bit of dust on their covers while the floor was so clean that James could see his reflection on the floor.

All the books were neatly sorted into different sections and if a book was misplaced, it would grow tiny white wings and fly back to its original shelf. As James snapped out of his amazement, he explored the library to find out where books based on the history of the Akaira content were.

When he finally reached the history section, there were hundreds of books he had to read. The books were placed in such a way that the 1st shelf contained the beginner level books and as you went upwards, the difficulty would increase.

"This is gonna be a long night." James said seeing the hundreds of books in front of him.

He started with the bottom shelf and read the 30 books that were there. "Man, that was a lot of information." James mumbled to Noah with him and the books sprawled out on the ground.

Suddenly, Noah's glyphs glowed a golden color and he opened himself to his 7th page which simply read 'INFORMATIONAL LIBRARY'. Below the title, the function of the page was given; 'Place any physical piece of information like books, scrolls, maps etc. will immediately give you the information written in it's contents.'

"You COULDN'T give me this feature before could you basta*d." "Specific requirements needed to be fulfilled in order to unlock the library moron." They sounded like an old bickering couple.

"Now, we have a problem. How the hell do I reach the upper shelfs?"

"Look at what you're standing on." James saw what he was on top of and the only thing he saw was a hexagonal pattern a step away from each shelf.

"I don't see anything special Noah" "Inject mana into the hexagon." "How do I do that?" "Imagine the pent-up energy flowing out of you." James did as he was told. Instantaneously, the hexagon started to move upwards. "Whoa that's cool." he said seeing the hexagon move to the height of the second shelf.

James threw all the books on the shelf into the informational library bit by bit. He moved all the way up to the top shelf of the history section, throwing all the books in the library but he wasn't going to stop there. Every book he stored gave him 5 EXP making it easy to unlock new spells in the diary.

Eventually he saw Noah glowing again and showing the text 'You have gained enough EXP to unlock a new level 2 spell. Choose wisely.' James read all the descriptions of the level 2 spells and decided to choose the water section's spell which was 'ILLUSION'.

The function of the spell was self-explanatory. The spell cast an illusion to make things appear as they are not. The spell covered a radius of 20by20 feet and lasted for 48 hours, making it very useful for James to cast the illusion to make it appear like all the books were still there.

The only drawback was that the spell required a huge amount of mana. James quickly cast the spell and almost walked off the hexagonal podium which was way up in the sky, trying to run away from the scene of the crime.

"Imagine going downwards dumbass." James used Noah's method to go downwards. Before James even reached the ground, he jumped out on to the ground as it was almost daybreak.

He quickly ran to the basement and locked himself in the chains he was supposed to be restrained in.
